Sri Lanka Army Commandos have recovered a dead body of an LTTE cadre killed in last evening's confrontation at Sector 2 Yala. Four more cadres are believed to have been injured in the same attack. Meanwhile another Commando Team and Regular Infantry started combing the area last evening, looking for the remaining members of the 12-man team. Blood trails of the injured Tigers are guiding the Commandos engaged in the pursuit. Meanwhile the Army estimates at least 5 'Field Commanders' of the LTTE may have been killed during recent clashes in the Wanni. Troops are engaging the Tigers intermittently in Kilali, Nagarkovil, Mullikulam, Vilattikulam, Periyathampanai etc.

10 civilians were killed and 40 wounded when a Sri Lanka Transport Board bus was caught in a Claymore explosion Wednesday around 8:00 p.m. at Abimanagama near Dhammanawa in Kebitigollawe division in the Anuradhapura district, 23 km southeast of Vavuniyaa, police said.
Last year, in June, 64 passengers were killed in a similar Claymore explosion in the area.

That is extremely funny when LTTE has a proven track record of killing unarmed civilains of all races, yes that include Sinhala, Tamil, and Moore.
