This may sound strange, but what actions of the LTTE haven't been so far?

This is the LTTE's fear over Chief Minister Pilliyan's appointment expressed in blood.

Stay safe LTTE bigwigs, stay safe... you are about to see the beginning of an uprising in the North.

Another big wig wounded/dead?? usually this has been the trend lately, The higher value the target the powerful the blast....

One thing the terra sympathisers failing continuously to understand tis the reslouteness of sri lankan people. Every bomb only makes them hard and resolute to finish this terras off!!!!!!

It seems that something bad has happened to LTTE in Vanni, perhaps from an air strike. If the LTTE racists' tit-for-tat theory works, I wonder what triggered the bomb attack in Colombo today?

Riyaz / Sam-
Both of you have a valuable point by looking at the pattern matching.
However one thing I can notice with recent pass is, we are lack of intelligence.
How and why this area became suddenly lack of info only can be answered by DW may be?

LTTE is a very seccretive organisation and it is based on cells which don't know each other.

A few cells may have been destroyed with intelligence gained earlier probably through arrest of LTTE operatives but now there are new ones and unless more operatives are caught there won't be much more intelligence coming.

Hopefully we will soon have a break.

Well ..I have a strong feeling that things are going smoothly as far as the north and vanni is concerned re-MI. But lookin at evidence found in south these suicide teams/controllers have arrived during and immeiately after CFA. and there are so mny cells some of which could be called sleeper cells an they do operate independantly, as usual practice with many guerilla org.

But the recen pattern indicates the tigers desperatin is at all time high, we should expect many more attempts

@sam

maybe its because of the 2 senior ltte cardres who had funerals within the last few days? (theacademic.org)

Someone was asking us about fighting day before yesterday at Periyamadu. This areas is opening up for fighting after the Palampiddi bridge was taken. 5 female bodies were recovered and brought back to vavuniya, one was badly damaged. 4 were handed over to Vavuniya police yesterday evening. They are to be given to ICRC today. SLA lost 4 men but believe around 20 LTTE may have been killed in the fighting.

Defence wire,

Could u pls update us on e present situation as there seems so many mini fronts opening up in mannar and vavunia.its good to see some DPU action frm the commandos too. do you have details of it?

Ranil said...

guys
though the ltte have sleeper cells and separate teams working the same target etc. they do obviously are in contact with their hq in some form or the other... I'm assuming that when ltte hq gives them a go ahead to cause carnage they will take on the first decent target they can...
like in this instance targetting riot police bus couldn't have been a well planned attack.... they just wanted to bomb something today and they got the bus

which is why telecomms need to be distupted to the north. make it difficult for them to communicate. I know there maybe alternate methods, but the most common way would be either through a mobile ot fixed line...

Telephones and mobiles are not essentials..therefore our "human rights" experts in colombo cannot make a big deal out of it...

Wow.... May be these are indications that the Elaam pie has 'actually' landed!

Good heavens... if these bastards can kill and maim us while we were walking on a busy street minding our own business... what 'power' on this earth and beyond can stop us hunting them down?

Let us re-emphazize our promise ourselves today... that WE WILL STAY THE COURSE OF THIS FIGHT... AND KILL NOT ONLY EACH LTTE PIG... BUT ALSO THE LTTE COOLIES HIDING AND FEEDING THE PIGS... and protect every square inch of Motherlanka.

Well well.. if its not essentials, why not cut it in colombo as well instead of only in north.

Since the bomb attack is happning in colombo, its better to cut it off in colombo.

the bombers can be commanded from any where, even from mahinda's back garden. but the bombs r goin around in colombo...

you wouldnt agree with it wud u?? cuz u r a typical racist MoFo, u dnt give a damn if ppl in north get cut off communication.

I think it is very essential to have armor plates for each and every military vehicle in Sri Lanka, despite the fact whether they are police or army or where ever they are. Because we know for sure that LTTE is targeting any military vehicle or installation. The value of the life of our solder is much greater than what we are spending on armor plates. .

Ranil said...

codered
sadly not even all military vehicles operating the battle areas are equipped with armor plating... almost all trucks are non-armored and so are most buses that transport troops...
lotsa people in defence blogs were talking about rigging slat armor on APC's and even tanks etc but still haven't seen that been practiced...
as well all know simple slat armor alone will at time help you to survive RPG attacks

CodeRed:

It's easy to suggest these things from night air-raids to satellite intelligence to armor plates etc....

But these need lot of money and raising money to the war effort is not getting enough attention.

How many expatriate Sri Lankans can honestly say they contributed something worthwhile to GOSL / SLDF to fight this war?

A daily question a (patriotic) Sri Lankan would ask from themselves is 'Am I doing something today to support the government and SLDF to wipe out LTTE pigs?"

Unfortunately many of us are showing signs that we are a confused, lazy, media-abused lot... floating in the clouds. We just blame the GOSL for everything and happily 'hope' things would be (miraculously) okay tomorrow morning. Some others are going on strike and deprives us of resources to conduct the war.

Alas... in the end, the payment 'REMINDER' returns to us... in the form of LTTE bombs that kill / maim us!

Still... no payment!

I want to highlight the urgent need for all Sri Lankans to get heavily involved in supporting their communities and working WITH the GOSL instead of going against it... and assist GOSL to raise that $$$$$ needed to fight the LTTE....because GOSL officials would come and go.... but unless LTTE is wiped out... they will be there for long, long time... and I could be among the next batch of victims.... when the LTTE flashes the again that 'Elaam" card!

@ourtamil.com

who are u to judge if i am a racist or not?

My point was communication is essential for terrorists... u cant deny that the hq of ltte is in the north and the orders come from the north.. so cut out the orders.. save innocent civilians. This is a common military strategy in war and is done by many nations....!
