Desperate LTTE blasted a bomb in front of Air Force camp, Slave Island. Attack has damaged a Moratuwa-Colombo plying civilian bus. The attack was launched by a suicide bomber on a motorcycle. 2 killed 32 injured, 3 very seriously.
Heavy security was in place in Colombo, suburbs and main cities today following intelligence warnings. Military Intelligence recently uncovered LTTE plans of launching random suicide attacks targeting even civilians since they are unable to breach the security of VVIPs.
Hundreds of people took to the streets in Trishaws, vans etc carrying the Lion Flag celebrating the capture of Kilinochchi today as President Mahinda Rajapakse and the Army Commander addressed the nation live on National TV.

bomb explosion has been reported from the Slave Island Area , in Colombo short while ago. According to the available information the explosion has occurred close to Air Force camp down the C.A. Gardiner Mawatha.

LTTE suicide bomb explosion in Colombo
An LTTE suicide bomber has exploded himself in front of the Air Force camp in Slave Island , Colombo this evening causing heavy damages to a civilians bus plying from Pettha to Moratuwa (Jan 2).
According to the available information, the suicide bomber has exploded himself in front of the entrance of the Air Force camp down the C.A. Gardiner road. One person has been killed and several others suffered injuries. The injures have been rushed to the National Hospital, Colombo.

Two Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) airmen were killed and 29 persons wounded in a bomb explosion in front of the SLAF head office in the high security zone in Sittampalam Gardiner Mawatha in Slave Island, Colombo 2, while the city was lighting firecrackers celebrating the occupation of Ki'inochchi town by the Sri Lanka Army. A human bomb riding a motorcycle towards Fort along Sir Siththampalam Gardiner Mawatha exploded in front of the Air Force headquarters, Police said.

There is propaganda, trash talk for the enemy and I understand that.
However this is a war victory and we need to be humble and conquer the next post.
