Heavy fighting was reported from Chilawatte as 59 Division engaged the LTTE yesterday. 7 soldiers were killed and another 70 injured in the fighting. LTTE is concentrating its forces to the east of the Mulaitivu Lagoon. The strategy will be to travel from the west of the lagoon to the east.
Heavy fighting was also reported south of Iranamadu, at Ampakamam north in the last few days as Task Force 3 under Brigadier Liyanage headed into LTTE areas. 10 LTTE cadres were confirmed killed in the attack while some Charles Anthony, Imran Pandian, Malathi unit cadres have started abandoning their posts and escaping the LTTE along with their civilian captives.
While some LTTE teams in Mulaitivu still engage in the failed bund/trench defense system to stop an army, which became outdated in World War I, LTTE units east of Kilinochchi, who learnt their lesson the hard war from the 57 and the 58, have started deploying small teams for hit and run operations, particularly at Vattakachchi.
Troops advancing on Vishvamadu and about 7km away from their target while resistance in the general area north of Paranthan has gradually diminished as troops reach Chundikulam (Sundikulam).

Yes, at 1:03 there is what seems to be a landing gear assembly. However, as said before, this seems to an aircraft junkyard so most likely from another wreck. Can be from a helicopter (Mi-17/24) or from a fixed wing.
I'm referring to the fuselage section shown at 1:05 onwards. This seems to be the tail of a helicopter and you can also see the rear wing stubs at some point. In particular note the serial number 546 (at 1:12 to 1:15).
Now check out the serial numbers of all the SLAF aircraft lost.

With the troops nearing the capturing of last rebel held areas, the diplomats etc should be ready to give maximum publicity to the atrocities the LTTE has done to the Sri Lankans (specially the Tamils in those areas).

The Task Force II under the command of Brigadier Rohana Bandara, Task Force III under the command of Brigadier Satyapriya Liyanage and Task Force IV under the command of Colonel Nishantha Wanniarachchi commenced advancing towards the Northern direction from the Mankulam Mullaitivu A-34 road and are now operating in the South East of Puthukudu-yiruppu.
”Troops attached to the Task Force II and Task Force III have confronted heavily with the LTTE who are now retreating towards the North of A-35 road leaving behind all their camps and assets and also their dead cadres”, military sources added.
