Two civilians were shot dead by a team of suspected LTTE cadres inside the Wilpattu National Park a short while ago army officials said. 65 year old father and a 16 year old son were shot dead by a group of gunmen according to the mother who escaped the LTTE attack. They went to collect fire wood, she later told police.
They were shot near Kalupathwewa inside the Willpattu National Park police sources said.The park is remained closed after two separate bomb blast happened inside it last year, which claimed lives of senior military officer, Colonel Jayantha Suraweera and a famous English novelist and the author of the novel "A road from Elephant Pass", Nihal De Silva.

Sri Lanka’s SOS to Pakistan for urgent arms supplies
Sri Lanka Army has sought 150,000 rounds of 60 mm mortar ammunition and as many hand grenades for immediate delivery, the sources said.
Sri Lanka has also requested $25 million worth of 81 mm, 120 mm and 130 mm mortar ammunition to be delivered within a month
The Pakistani military has apparently agreed to supply the ammunition on an emergency basis from its War Wastage Reserve maintained in various army depots.

ACF seeks criminal indictment against killers:
Action Against Hunger (ACF) is seeking a criminal indictment against those responsible for the murder of ACF's 17 staff members. "The culprits, whoever they are, must be brought before a Court of Law and held to account for their actions so as to put an end to the impunity that reigns today in Sri Lanka," ACF said.

Sri Lanka Air Force targets secret rendezvous place of LTTE leaders:
Sri Lanka Air Force fighter jets raided a secret rendezvous place of LTTE leaders located west of Visvamdhu tank in Kilinochchi, this morning.
According to Air Force sources, the fighter pilots have confirmed the target was accurately hit. However, they said that it is too early to assess the damage to the Tigers by the raid.
Meanwhile, defence intelligence sources said that the target is of high value, as its whereabouts was only known to those in the inner circles of the LTTE chief. The sources said that the target consists of a rendezvous place and a secret passage frequently used by the LTTE leaders including Prabhakaran himself.
