Tamil Tiger bosses are frustrated with poor fundraising in Canada and the United Kingdom, a Royal Canadian Mounted Police sting operation has uncovered. The National Post had reported yesterday that "In one communique, a senior rebel boss complained that Canadians were not doing enough to support the fight.'
The National Post further states that "Colonel Soosai, who commands the rebel navy wing known as the Sea Tigers, told three Canadian Tamil activists he was frustrated about the "insufficient activities of the branches in Canada and England," according to a 12-page report.
The Tigers had been "expecting a huge sum" of money and Tamil activists should "act accordingly," says the document, written by the Tamil Tigers International Coordination Centre but seized by RCMP counter-terrorism officers in Toronto, the newspaper said.

So the only bet left for the Tigers from the IC via two things--
1.Rajapakse administration:
Which by its frightening human rights abuses has brought SL to level of rogue/failed states, and may pay via EU actions in future.
2.Time:
Just hold out somehow long enough and the changing political leaders in US, Canada, EU is now swinging towards opposite of Bush-howard-blair years,
and the political & economic sustainability in SL itself.
Well I don’t totally agree with your comment above.
For one we should not be a doll of other countries. I understand that most of the time we have do thing as they want because of the aid we depend on. And yes we have to improve our HR abuse to an acceptable level.
A change in bush administration may not result in a change in our political stand. Because America went to invade other people's countries in their fight against terrorism. Mostly for other reasons than terrorism.
We are only defending our own country. There is major difference in the two aspects.

Well observed.
Mighty Uncle Sam is still looking for Osama! In that aspect... our boys have brought great results in our country... successfully cornering the mad dogs.... something to be really appreciated.
I have this sneaky feeling... that some western countries don't want us to win over the LTTE... because they cannot still see a win over Al Qaeda... What a shame if they cannot get results... after all the rhetoric, hock and awe!
No one on this earth can force us not fight the LTTE... Thank goodness the president didn't mince his words in saying that...yesterday... loud and clear.
We can do the job...NO DOUBT.
But surely cannot and will not please everyone in the process.
