All quiet on the battlefront

Today was a day of closure in the LTTE's violent saga. However, some interesting developments can be expected within the next day or two from the Eastern Province as Ram and Umaram and their teams are traced down.

The two leaders moved their families to the north soon after their split with Karuna in 2004. Their fate may be revealed in due course as more bodies are recovered from the battlefield.

As reported by the media, LTTE's former police and 'political wing' chief and chief spokesman Nadesan, his family, Pulidevan and his family and Ramesh and his family have all died and their bodies discovered by the Special Forces.

There were rumours that the two leaders had gone down on their knees and begged the Special Forces at which point they assumed the Special Forces to smile and let them go.

Rumours are that Prabhakaran's entire family was dead. These rumours indicate that even Prabha's daughter, Duharga was there at the scene. Until otherwise indicated by the government, at this moment in particular, their bodies are nowhere to be found.

Other leaders like Lawrence, Karikalan, Ilanthirayan, Papa, Sempian etc are also dead. Their bodies might also be discovered in due course.

The chief of the LTTE's Mine-laying unit and a chief innovator of the Jhonny Mine and other deadly IEDs has died having lost both his legs in a mysterious blast. The LTTE's chief of smuggling with India and the deputy of the international procurement units (not Castro) have also died.

Meanwhile the last batch of the 80,500 civilians rescued after the final operation on the 15th were dispatched to Vavuniya today. With this the total number of civilians rescued is a staggering 350,000.

This "Maxfuckhead" is a US educated, Mariya Kade old boy with a few friends starting from SL Defence Attache in the UK down to Brig. Prasanna and Maj. Gen. Kamal Goonda.

I may be wrong, insane and out of my mind. But what really happened at the "Theater" neither you nor I know. Just this morning, I was told about the real story - if you watched the TV, whoever who was holding "Fat Pig's" head could rotate it relative to the body.

It does not matter who I am and who you are. I am entitled to my opinion. And in my opinion, it is unfair to be selective: pardon one LTTE woman and family and then liquidate another LTTE woman and family whoever their men were.

Please do not use expletives and just like Ananda-USA, write in decent language so reading is a pleasure even though you may want to really drill my bones and balls.
And as a Sinhala, I will remember to hound you down if you ever make refernce to my mother again, you fricking asshole in the cozy environs of USA. I will remember you till I die, you swine head :))

Sri Lankan Patriots
These Western motherfuckers who keep abusing human rights like crazy when they want to, believe that it is their right only to kill innocent civilians in war against terror. When America kills innocent kids in a school via unmanned vehicles, this is not a war crime. But when a few people get hurt while liberating a massive 350,000 hostages in Sri Lanka, this is a war crime. We have to get a few talented Sri Lankan Lawyers and file charges of war crimes against the United States, The U.K, Australia and any other countries that seems to have double standards when it comes to crimes against humanity. We have to take to ICC these motherfuckers who have created all this misery in the third word countries in the first place and get their presidents and prime ministers jailed for crimes against humanity. Lets join together and get these mother fucker western heads of state into jail. If we can be accused of crimes, then they can be accused 10 times more

Also, Sri Lanka Issue is being used as a diversion for what's really going on in Afganistan and Pakistan. And the people who are making the biggest noise ie. US and UK are the culprits.

About mud in VP’s body.

I am sure the army wanted to make sure that VP did not carry a surprise from hell and disrobed him to make sure that he did not carry suicide bombs. He was bloated and decomposing. Any body want to hold him gently while disrobing? I think they just rolled him over to disrobe him. That is where the mud came from. The army was not desecrating a dead body. They were being careful

LTTE had their camps in strategic locations. We can use the same locations for our camps too.

Killinochchi needs a University. The Killinochchi Technical College can be converted to a Technical University.

A little story which otherwise could have changed the SL history.
Once I went to see a doctor. The doctor an Indian Tamil, after hearing that I am from SL told me this story.
In 70s when he was in youngster I had some plans to go out with a friend of him, who was a policeman in TN. That policeman friend had to delay their outing and the reason was that he had to engadge in a situation where 2 ppl were having a fight. The policeman stopped the fight but did not want to press the charges against the culprits and jail them, just released them. One of those who were in the fight was VP.
One wonders what if he was taken into custody at that time. I told the doctor your friend made the mistake of his life time.

We went to a beach and had toddy and had lots of fun. There were lots of young tamils also dancing, drinking and enjoing.

There was a funeral of the head monk at Naga Vihara and lots of tamil ppl had gathered around the road heading to the temple to pay their last respect to a Buddhist monk.

While we were returning we offered a ride to some of the LTTE girls. They sang with us for some tamil songs and shared a laugh with us.

The above shows that we all are humans. We all have a life. Now that the devil is eliminated, MR and the co. can rebuild this wonderful country. But Tamil community has a very big onus in this process. They should corporate with the government. No more speciality for tamils. Only speciality is for Sri Lankans.

How about Mullaitivu, where 1500 were massaccred after surrender? How about the 700 policemen who suffered the same fate during Premadasa's time?

Do you know that more than joy it is an expression of relief from the tensions and anxieties they have been going through on a continuous basis?

[ Is the so called Geneva Convention cover matters like, kill civilians in Capital using suicide bombs and time bombs, kill all in the border villagers and Leaders go for peace talk? ]

Yes, brother, they are war crimes against non-combatants.

VP could easily have been made to stand trial for war crimes; but I am glad he was killed in battle.

The problem would have been if had surrendered to a third party and we had to go through the rigmarole of extraditing him, fending off political pressure exerted by his fans, just to get justice for his victims and punishment for his crimes. What happened is MUCH better; he got EXACTLY what he DESERVED.

There is a GOOD LESSON here to other would-be terrorists planning on undertaking operations against Sri Lankan citizens: we may take time to get our act together, but we finally do, retribution will be swift and final, SO DON'T TRY IT.

That was the lesson that both the JVP and the LTTE learned...THE HARD WAY.

Before them, there were many INVADERS who learned the same lesson....THE HARD WAY.

Let me quote a passage from "Maha Hatana Raja Sinha" that recounts the annihilation by King Raja Sinha of Portuguese General Constantino de Sa's Army of 14,000 men on the plains of Wellawaya:

" A pyramid of Portuguese heads was raised on the field of battle, while that of the general was laid at the feet of the aged and triumphant and compassionate King who said

"How often have I prayed you not to make war on me and destroy my realm, but to let me live in peace while you kept the best part of Lanka. But if your successors follow in your footsteps, you will not be the last." "

Such was King Raja Sinha's advice to the Portuguese invader 379 years ago, and such is our advice today to the pro-LTTE Tamil Diaspora plotting the destruction of Lanka in the future: Cease and Desist, or you will inherit Prabhakaran's fate for this land is defended by patriots who will never yield.

it is not conclusive, mate. we know the economic power of patriots in SL is not ENOUGH.

raising it must be a priority. MR has already stated that there are patriots and traitors.

1. DESTROY little by little the economic power of traitors

2. UPLIFT the economic power of patriots

3. do 2 at the expense of 1.

there are complications. just bcos one is a traitor, nobody can screw him, takeover his industry, etc.

that is where CREATIVITY comes in.

after physical ethnic integration, this is the NEXT step.

i'm very happy MR DIVIDED the country into patriots and traitors. i'm 100% sure there are MANY sri lankans who expected him NOT to say such things, DEFINITELY not at a historical event.

why again DIVIDE the country when it is UNIFIED???

TAMIL NADU LTTE VIOLENCE!

Buses bear brunt of mob fury
ExpressBuzz.com, Chennai

May 20, 2009

Violence broke out in several districts across the State on Tuesday following LTTE chief V Prabhakaran’s killing in the ethnic war in Sri Lanka. Several government buses were damaged in stone throwing incidents and shops downed their shutters for the second consecutive day.

In Chennai, eight men from Puzhal refugee camp were arrested for allegedly setting ablaze an MTC bus and breaking the windscreen of two others at Red Hills. The refugees assembled opposite a private engineering college on GNT Road. Before the police could spot them, they set fire to a bus and pelted stones at other vehicles passing through the road. No one was injured, as the protesters asked the passengers to disembark before setting the bus afire, police sources said.

The eight men, Kanakaraj (28), Charles (26), Dinesh Kumar (21), Nirmal Raj (21), Rajesh Kumar (20), Selva Mohan (20), Dhanushan (20) and Lakshyananthan (19), were arrested by the police.

In Cuddalore district, more than 20 government buses were damaged in stone throwing incidents at Pallipadai, Chidambaram, Pinnalur, Nagampandhal, Alappakkam and other places.

Shops remained closed for the second day on Tuesday in several places, including Manjakuppam and Pudhupalayam.

There was heavy deployment of police personnel outside the offices of political parties. Police also stepped up vigil at refugee camps. An MDMK worker, Prakasam (53), of Vengampatti village in the district attempted self-immolation on Monday after hearing news of the rebel leader’s death.

In Salem district, 26 activists of Tamil Eelam Atharavu Munnani were arrested for allegedly pelting stones at two government buses near new bus stand.

In other incidents, three buses were damaged.

In Nilgiris district, shops remained closed for the second day in the Sri Lankan repatriates- dominated areas of Gudalur, Pandalur and Kotagiri belts. The repatriates, mostly labourers in private tea estates and the State Government-owned Tea Plantation Corporation, stayed away from work. The protesters burnt the effigy of Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Shopkeepers downed shutters in Kotagiri, Aravenu, Kil-Kotagiri and Sholurmattam. In Tiruvarur, the glass panes of two STC buses were damaged in a stone-throwing incident near Peralam on Monday night.

SLDF's OUT-OF_THE_BOX STRATEGY!

Lankan forces thought out of the box to defeat LTTE

By P K Balachandran
ExpressBuzz.com, Colombo
May 21, 2009

Three years ago, no political or military observer would have predicted a total decimation of the formidable LTTE. And yet, by May 18, 2009, its entire top leadership, including Prabhakaran, lay dead in the marshy land adjacent to the Nanthikadal lagoon in Northeast Sri Lanka.

Such an ending was possible because the Sri Lankan armed forces had begun thinking out of the box, and were getting unflinching support from the country’s top political leadership.

ARMY: Under the leadership of Gen Sarath Fonseka, the Sri Lankan army opened, for the first time in the history of the war in the island, a war front that stretched from Mannar in the West to Mullaitivu in the East and from Jaffna in the North to Vavuniya in the South, a stretch of 200 kms.

Since there were operations every day, the LTTE was unable to cope. As a senior Tamil defence correspondent said: “Its limited number of commanders had to be moved from front to front. They were exhausted. One of them, “Col” Balraj, most daring and innovative, died of a heart attack.” The Sri Lankan army also shed its “bunker mentality” (or staying put in fortified bunkers in secure camps and fighting the enemy only if he approaches).

It was asked to move forward, seek out the LTTE cadre and kill them.

The LTTE, however, did not give in easily.

It fought for every inch, but always withdrew before losses in men and material became too heavy.

NAVY: The present naval commander Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda, got the Lankan navy to tackle the LTTE’s boats and ships in the deep seas in the international waters. The navy used aerial surveillance to good effect and sank many LTTE vessels called “floating warehouses” in mid sea. Vital intelligence inputs from India were also useful.

AIR FORCE: Previously the Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF) stayed grounded most of the time as it was scared of the LTTE’s shoulder fired missiles. It lacked night flying capability. This time round, under Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke, the SLAF used its planes round the clock.

The LTTE’s last defensive weapon consisted of human cover. But intelligent shelling enabled the army to force civilians to break loose from the LTTE. Without the people, the LTTE’s leaders ran helter skelter, only to be gunned down.

KARUNA Says Top of VP's Head was Blown Off

Prabhakaran was at fault: Colonel Karuna

ExpressBuzz.com, AP, New Delhi
May 20, 2009

Tamil Tigers chief Velupillai Prabhakaran was with 18 of his most loyal bodyguards when he was trapped and killed by the Sri Lankan military, one of his former rebel associates told IANS Wednesday.
......

......
"He had thinned somewhat (from when I saw him last)," Karuna said over telephone to IANS, speaking in Tamil. "Otherwise he was much the same. The face, the eyes, it was Prabhakaran."

Karuna said the soldiers who killed Prabhakaran were surprised after sighting him because some of them had thought the man had killed himself earlier. "They did not expect to see him at all."

The fighting with Prabhakaran and his men erupted at 4 a.m. Monday and was over within 90 minutes, leaving the man who had terrorized the country for over a quarter century dead near a lagoon in Mullaitivu district.

Karuna, who is also an MP and vice president of the ruling Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), confirmed that the upper portion of Prabhakaran's head was blown off.

By then, the military had already killed his son Charles Anthony as well as all his top associates.

A politician today, Karuna dismissed speculation that sections of the surrendered LTTE cadres or its supporters abroad would be able to revive another group a la the Tigers.
....
....
Karuna blamed Prabhakaran for his death, saying if he had been a better strategist he should have dispersed his forces and senior leaders once the Sri Lankan military went on the offensive from late last year.

"But he did not do that. It shows he was foolish. He must have perhaps thought that somehow the international community would be able to enforce a ceasefire due to the plight of civilians and he would survive

"Indeed, if he had been a good leader, he would not have insisted on an independent state for so long. He should have known it would never happen. If only he had transformed his military victories into political victories, the Tamils would be holding their heads high today. That did not happen."

Karuna said he had advised both Prabhakaran and the then LTTE political wing leader S.P. Thamilchelvam, who was killed in 2007, to understand the global changes and reform the LTTE. But they did not pay heed.

"The problem is some of those close to Prabhakaran had boosted his ego. They made him think he was infallible, that he could never be defeated. He was misled," Karuna said, recalling the times when he was in the LTTE.

The way forward for the Tamils, Karuna said, was democracy.

"That's the only way. Imagine if we had a good parliamentary bloc, we could have done wonders for the Tamils, even in this dark hour. The TNA is useless," he said, referring to the pro-LTTE Tamil National Alliance, the largest Tamil grouping in the 225-seat Sri Lankan parliament.

Karuna said the Tamil community was at a crossroad after the deaths of around 90,000 people since 1983 in the Tamil Eelam struggle. This included some 24,000 LTTE guerrillas.

What did the Tamils gain after all this bloodshed, he was asked. Karuna replied: "Nothing."

You are a swan song and you will fade away after sometime; I am more certain that Moshe Dayan, Sam Perera, Ananda-USA will stay put and offer constructive advise to us who think a bit off the median.

Once again you called my mother a LTTE whore fucker and I am going to expose my credentials if you would care to do it yourself. I have nothing to hide; nothing to be afraid and I know you will shout behind the curtain - shrouded and wearing a purdah - because if you came out into the open, then Uncle Sam will do you well done! What's the bet?

Let me tell you of a story that I have not told anyone before. During my college days: 1985 - 1988 in the deep south (aka redneck country), the war was raging in Sri Lanka. One of our deshapremi one night did an incredible thing. He drew up several caricatures and pasted posters on all trees in the university square. Those posters were highly critical of LTTE and India. The next day, FBI called on him and told him to remove those posters all by himself, in public. He did exactly as he was told. All of us became the laughing stock.

Please be careful, Uncle Sam will visit you and look at your papers. Before long, you and I could meet at Mariya Kade and have a fuck fest. I will roast you fucking swine head and I am ashamed to call another Sinhalaya like this. But time will tell who would pay the bigger price: you or me. You will be washing plates or managing peep shows down 42nd Street in the big apple and I will grind my way through life in Sri Lanka and all those SLDF soldiers will never see the light of the day. I have seen this charade since 1992, it has not changed a vee bit.

When Diana married (1981 as I remembered), there were not 128 inch flat screens, not even 128 CM (52 inch projector type TVs).

It must be three glasses of “Jack Daniel” as somebody suggested!!

Sorry macho, I like your sarcasm but the above is ridicules!!!

I hope that SLA did not killed Madivadini and her two young children’s deliberately. If they have done it, it is wrong and I condemn the act as barbaric and inhuman.

We cannot kill unarmed civilians in a war; it is against all principals why we fought LTTE. Similarly, if SLA has killed any tigers who came forward unarmed with white flag; it is wrong to kill them.

If this allegation is true; I will not honour our forces anymore! I will be shamed for my life being a ranakamee Sinhalese.

Guys;

In my psychology lessons in third year I learnt something called "Denial"....where the human mind sometimes deny certain things that it would not like to accept.

Even in normal life when a close relation died ; this could happen.....

The Chapter is as Follows;

Definition

Denial is the refusal to acknowledge the existence or severity of unpleasant external realities or internal thoughts and feelings.

Theory of denial

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Examples of denial

Death is a common occasion for denial. When someone learns of the sudden, unexpected death of a loved one, at first he or she may not be able to accept the reality of this loss. The initial denial protects that person from the emotional shock and intense grief that often accompanies news of death. Chronic or terminal illnesses also encourage denial. People with such illnesses may think, "It's not so bad; I'll get over it," and refuse to make any lifestyle changes.

Denial can also apply to internal thoughts and feelings. For instance, some children are taught that anger is wrong in any situation. As adults, if these individuals experience feelings of anger, they are likely to deny their feelings to others. Cultural standards and expectations can encourage denial of subjective experience. Men who belong to cultures with extreme notions of masculinity may view fear as a sign of weakness and deny internal feelings of fear. The Chinese culture is thought to discourage the acknowledgment of mental illness, resulting in individuals denying their psychological symptoms and often developing physical symptoms instead.

Certain personality disorders tend to be characterized by denial more than others. For example, those with narcissistic personality disorder deny information that suggests they are not perfect. Antisocial behavior is characterized by denial of the harm done to others (such as with sexual offenders or substance abusers).

Denial can also be exhibited on a large scale— among groups, cultures, or even nations. Lucy Bregman gives an example of national denial of imminent mortality in the 1950s: school children participated in drills in which they hid under desks in preparation for atomic attacks. Another example of large-scale denial is the recent assertion by some that the World War II Holocaust never occurred.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Treatment of denial

Denial is treated differently in different types of therapy. In psychoanalytic therapy, denial is regarded as an obstacle to progress that must eventually be confronted and interpreted. Timing is important, however. Psychoanalytic therapists wait until clients appear emotionally ready or have some degree of insight into their problems before confronting them. In the humanistic and existential therapies, denial is considered the framework by which clients understand their world. Not directly confronting denial, therapists assist clients in exploring their world view and considering alternative ways of being. In cognitive-behavioral therapies, denial is not regarded as an important phenomenon. Rather, denial would suggest that an individual has not learned the appropriate behaviors to cope with a stressful situation. Therapists assist individuals in examining their current thoughts and behaviors and devising strategic ways to make changes.

DW

on february 12, you wrote the following about 'false information' about numbers:

The repercussions of this failed systems of reporting on humanitarian conditions in the Vanni are numerous. These include:

1. 'Naming and shaming' the government based on inaccurate information backfires on the agencies themselves and their networks
2. Wide-spread animosity and antagonism towards functioning and sometimes useful civil society groups
3. Credibility and standards of practice of international humanitarian agencies get eroded
4. Defaming of Sri Lanka- defaming of a democratically elected government or its people supporting a military solution is sometimes tantamount to defaming the entire nation, particularly in the west
5. Based on the 'established credibility' of these agencies and their reports, international media continues to defame our nation and its right to defend itself
6. These falsifications strengthen the separatist ideology of the Diaspora pro-LTTE groups resulting in taxation of Tamils living in the west, self-immolation by misled individuals, diplomatic stand-offs (Indian Central Govt-Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka) and finally;
7. Strengthening the hand of Tamil ultra nationalists hell-bent on eternal perpetuation of hatred and subsequently a 'Round-2' of the fight.
8. Undue external interference in the conflict- The reports issued by these agencies put undue pressure on the state actor whereas it is the non-state actor that is holding the civilians against their will. In fact, thousands of Tamils attempting to reach government controlled areas at south Puthukudirippu were fired at (some killed) and subsequently driven out to Mathalang, general area north of Puthukudirippu recently.'

this reminds me of 'i have fallen on the ground but i don't have sand in my moustache'.

it was already known by late 2008 that 220,000 people were entitled to government food support because they had got displaced. apart from that, there were at that time still over 100,000 people who were not yet displaced. these were official government statistics.

deliberately starving people is also a war crime.

so better get on with it and not starve those in the camps now.

Asithri,

Dear brother, you are no better than the Fat Pig. Folks like should bot be part of the Sinhala, Buddhist community.

See what "Rana" has said; when I read the story about Madhivadhini, Duwaraka and Balachandran, I actually thought about my wife and kids. It is different with Charles Anthony but in all this I smell a fish!

It is unimaginable that, in one go, the "creme de la creme" of our arch enemy could be wiped out. I do not think there was a fight but a real "compromise and a sacrifice" that takes away all the color and bravery of the SLDF. If the big shots resorted to this, then all those sacrifices made by soldiers would be devalued and SL will not be able to escape the persecution that will come our way in many ways.

I would have preferred if they did it in a different way so that there was no trace of anyone. They would have achieved the same objective with only the those who need to know.

I have no issue if Fat Pig was butchered and barbecued. But shooting unarmed civilians is not acceptable for me. Please note that I am a Sri Lankan, Sinhala, Buddhist living in Sri Lanka. Isn't this the very reason that SL waged the war against VP and his ilk - it was to overcome suicide bombings and the mayhem created in SL society. I would not give a jackboot for their gun running, drug trafficking and money laundering because our folks are no better in that regard.

This is really the case of Burglars/Murderers leaving a trace in their hurry when they commit the crime. What a shame!

LTTE’s former armed wing leader and present Minister V. Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman and media spokesman Daya Master identified the LTTE leader’s body. Karuna pointed out that he had always told that Prabakaran was a timid guy and he had not worn a cyanide capsule.

Prabakaran’s personal revolver, his satellite telephone, identity tags and documents were recovered with the body.

Army says that investigations are underway to verify if the two female bodies recovered a short distance away were his wife’s and daughter’s.

Army further says that 475 bodies including those of 18 LTTE leaders have been recovered so far.

show the world that VP is alive and spend a luxury life from the funds collected.

otherwise spend some and hire some dumb asses to make hullabaloos here and there (remeber to use words like 'genocide', 'massacre', 'war crimes' extensively)

save yours and your whoevers asses and vanish without ever comming to the fore.

the best suggestion is go to West Minister Abe and suicide (after some hunger strikes, protects etc.)

Ironic coincidence and a twist of fate

May 21, 2009 07:57 am

The man responsible for the death of Rajiv Gandhi did not live to see the 18th death anniversary of the assassinated Indian prime minister. Thus is the strong hand of justice that is meted out in this life itself.

In a twist of fate, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) chief Velupillai Prabhakaran, blamed for the assassination of Gandhi on May 21, 1991, was himself killed by Colombo troops in the north of Sri Lankaon Monday.

Gandhi, then 54, was killed by a woman LTTE cadre in Sriperumbudur, about 30km from Chennai, while about to deliver an election speech.

WHY THERE IS MUD ON THE FAT PIG'S CARCASS?

Actually, the whole thing can be explained by modifying the time line.

1) Fat Pig was identified by Karuna & Daya at a time before MR's speech on 19th. It is logical to have a positive indentification before the speech rather than after.

The Fat Pig had been just fished out of the water and had mud on him. Anyway pigs are known to wallow in mud, it is a part of their behavioral pattern.

The FP was undressed for the process. May be they looked for some birth marks, gun shot wounds etc. that Karuna knew about. And apparently they found it.

2) They do not release these pictures because they were not a pretty sight and instead release those taken after cleaning up the carcass. This sure would have been a monumental job which they carried out quite nicely.

3) MR gives the speech.

3) In the meantime all hell breaks loose amongst the diaspora pigs who go berserk on being told that FP is goner. In order to calm them down the ugly pictures are released as a final proof.

Of course this was an exercise in vain. GOSL might as well have just left it at that. It is impossible to convince a pig to change its mind once it makes it up. The idea sticks like a unerasable stink. It is part of the pig character, which makes them ideal candidates for making zombies and suicide bombers.

I said once before that the fat pig looks like corpse that had been fished out of a river after being submerged a good number of days. The dead one looked much better than the live one to me. The mortician did a masterly job.

"FAT PIGS NEVER DIE - NEVER DIE - OH! OH! NEVER DIE. THEY JUST ROT AWAY"

What we see is the dead Avtar of the Fat Pig while the Fat Pig itself is wallowing in some nice mud hole. These pigs are so stupid that they mix up the Avtar theory. Usually, the being dies and the Avtar is born. But for the stupid pigs it is the other way.

Good for KP's bank account.

"Other leaders like Lawrence, Karikalan, Ilanthirayan, Papa, Sempian etc are also dead. Their bodies might also be discovered in due course."
Either they are dead or they aren't! If no bodies have been discovered yet, how can we be sure as hell they are indeed dead? Surely you can say with authority they are dead only when you discover the bodies?

I need to see the pics of bodies so I no longer lose sleep over this.

Sri Lankan rebel leader's body cremated, military spokesman says+

COLOMBO, May 21 (Kyodo) — The body of Velupillai Prabhakaran, leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, has been "reduced to ashes," Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara, the army spokesman, told Kyodo News in an interview Thursday.

Nanayakkara said that Prabhakaran died during a confrontation with troops on Sunday night or Monday morning in a small mangrove island in the Nandithal Lagoon in the country's north where the rebels put up their last fight.

Responding to questions, the spokesman said the rebel leader, who made all his cadres wear glass cyanide capsules round their necks to be bitten if captured, did not carry the suicide capsule that had long been a hallmark of the LTTE.

"Prabhakaran was clad in uniform, carried a weapon, a satellite phone, an LTTE identity card and a dog tag marked 01," Nanayakkara said.

He said the cremation was ordered because the Sri Lankan government did not want a "cult" to build up around him or for others to seek to emulate his "terrorism."

There have been differing versions of Prabhakaran's final moments, beginning with a leak that he was one of a group that captured an army ambulance and were shot attempting to escape as the battle was reaching its final moments.

There are also allegations he was executed.

"He was not carrying any money," the spokesman said. "But his son, Charles Anthony, carried more over 12 million rupees ($100,000) in a bag."

Charles Anthony's body was displayed on national television, but images of Prabhakaran's body were not telecast until after the LTTE chief of international relations Selvarasa Pathmanathan claimed on the TamilNet website he was still alive.

Nanayakkara said Prabhakaran had a gunshot wound to the head and his bodyguards appeared to have been with him when he died.

The army, seeking to prevent "souvenirs" of the man who built and led one of the world's most feared guerilla armies that once controlled nearly a third of Sri Lanka, destroyed all mementoes of the man.

"We don't want him presented as a martyr," the spokesman said.

Nanayakkara said the army killed 22,000 LTTE cadres while the military's losses were 5,224 dead since the beginning of hostilities in the middle of 1986.

Asked about military losses in the last two or three months, the final stages of the war, Nanayakkara did not offer any numbers.

Until October last year, the prime minister made a monthly statement in parliament detailing the military and civilian dead and wounded in the fighting, but the reports ended after that.

Nanayakkara said there are still small groups of LTTE cadres as well as many "sleepers" all over the country, including Colombo, but he had no estimate of their number to offer.

"There are suicide groups, pistol gangs (and people with access to) claymore mines (used for roadside ambushes)," he said.

Armaments made in many countries, including the United States, Britain and China, and from the Korea Peninsula were used by the LTTE against the government but where and how the LTTE obtained them is unclear.

They also had chemical weapons such as white phosphorous grenades and CS gas canisters.

Nanayakkara denied reports the government forces used cluster bombs against the rebels, saying "we don't have them," but the army did have multi-barrel rocket launchers and long-range artillery.

More than 4,000 "self-confessed" LTTE activists are now supposedly among 250,000 civilians in camps for the internally displaced.

The activists will be given a chance to "rehabilitate themselves" and join the national mainstream, the army spokesman said.

[ IC has to check militarization and Sinhalicisation of rehabilitation
[TamilNet, Tuesday, 19 May 2009, 06:59 GMT]

Serious concerns are raised in the Tamil diaspora circles at the IC’s attempts to pour in rehabilitation aid through Colombo’s rehabilitation structure, which is completely militarized and Sinhalicised. This will only serve Colombo’s next agenda of ‘structural genocide’ of Tamils, the diaspora circles said. While rehabilitation is the immediate need, there will be an irredeemable danger if the IC is embarked upon it without recognition of Tamil status in the island and without involving Tamil hands, they said. Ideally, the IC should at least now exercise its authority to completely take over the camps and do the work with the direction and participation of the people for whom they give the aid, they further said.

Further comments from diaspora circles, edited by TamilNet follow:

Doing it through the enemies of the concerned people is not rehabilitation but abetting systematic colonization. This will not serve peace but will make Tamils to look at the IC itself as their enemy. Already the people have bitterness and deep frustration about the way the IC has handled their crisis.

The IC meekly surrendering to Colombo’s sovereignty demands in conducting the war without witnesses has brought in enough misery to Tamils and has seriously eroded the credibility of the IC.

It is now the duty and responsibility of the IC to find out ways and means how to supersede the treacherous lock of Sinhala sovereignty, at least now, in Tamil rehabilitation.

The IC should take note that the entire apex set-up and the officialdom created for rehabilitation by Colombo consist of Sinhala military officials and Sinhala civil servants.

Imperceptibly and sophisticatedly the IC is trying to lure the oppressed and suffering Tamils into its ‘post-conflict’ agenda, to lead back again into the rot of united Sri Lanka. Tamils couldn’t help the feeling that the IC is equally gleeful like Colombo in crushing Tamil nationalism but only hiding it unlike Colombo.

IC should realise that to the Tamil psyche post-conflict is post-Sri Lankan.

Time has gone long back for Eezham Tamils to get satisfied with largesse. Their need is solid solutions from the IC. If Colombo’s oppressive army is removed and freedom is given, they know how to rehabilitate themselves in no time and they have their kith and kin to help them.

The best way of rehabilitation is to completely keep Colombo out, separate the Tamil regions and allow some time for the rehabilitation under international supervision and involvement. Political formulas can be evolved between Tamils and Sinhalese peacefully during this time. But can the IC do this?

The IC has already seen how rehabilitation and development failed in the East under Sri Lankan state structure and a provincial council supposed to have been elected by the people but without their heart in it.

Sections in the IC have realised the problem and they have slowly started talking to diaspora circles. But people have seen enough deceit. They have to be shown with something solid if the IC wants to face them.

The hope of Tamils is that unlike Colombo, which has already enforced the need for another struggle on Tamils by the way it waged the war, the IC would come out with creative designs to end the conflict.

But the IC has to operate boldly, transcending Sri Lankan state and its ethno-centric sovereignty. If the IC continues to abet the Sri Lankan state, its efforts will lay foundations only for another but more disastrous war in the island.]

Thanks.

Well agree on your option on Balachandran out of could be many.He paid penalty for being a son of animal who does not trust any one else believing him not to send family to a safer place well in advance.

Let us pray for Balachandran, Duwarga & Maduwadini as they are purely innocent but slaves of a blind animal as to their fate.

This is the highest respect i can pay them as a Sinhalese & a human.

Mate,
Think about the photos you see. VP might be faking death there. I mean look at today's Island Article. There was an Army Soldier trying to get rid of flies from VPs face. Why would he do that. Just think. The reason was, they were afraid suddenly VP might sneeze.

After the photo shoot, he might have shaken hands with SF and left to Malaysia and Join KP.
Now he might be in one of the Malaysian Islands surrounded by some Nice Malaysian Chicks drinking pinacoloda.

There are endless Possibilities, therefore speculation is pointless

What plans from those who do not wash their bottom?

(Lanka-e-News, May 20, 2009, 4.00 PM) Prime Minister Rathnasiri Wickramanayaka says that as the government officially declared that Prabakaran was officially executed, some bigwigs in foreign countries ask via phone if it is true. The President does not reply these telephone calls and the Premier has been assigned to respond them. PM Wickramanayaka asked what they wanted to know as the Army that waged war announced that Prabakaran was killed. “Some are to arrive in to see Prabakaran’s body. They might be thinking that we would embalm and keep it,” the Premier said participating in Subharathi radio programme.

“Then they ask what we are going to do next. I said we would develop those areas. Then they say that they have very good plans. I pointed out that we won the war with our own plans and we have plans for future too. They can help us in them. What plans from those who do not wash their bottoms?”

When asked about the remedial measures for the war weary Tamil people coming from these areas, the PM said that the state is ready to offer them an unprecedented development so that they can forget the past woes. He asked the international community to assist it.

The Prime Minister said that the media are trying to deform this victory and the government would not allow it. He added that it was not suppression of media.

Guys sorry for copy paste. But this is good.

I seem to recall quite a few "FRIENDS" from the west who came to Sri Lanka's aid when the tsunami hit and I do not recall much assistance from China or Russia in comparison.

The west also were very generous in taking in hundreds of thousands Sri Lankans after the massacres in '83.

Of course all they got for that was a diaspora who have been troublesome in many ways and virtually no thanks from most Sri Lankans.

Going back as far as the fifties you might, if you bothered to read a little history, notice that many western governments took it upon themselves to help Sri Lanka develop many of their emerging sectors including rail service and agriculture in addition to a number of other initiatives from health-care to information technology.

gambit,

i would agree with you that people should help in anyway they can for the fallen or injured members of the armed forces.

now, what does the government is doing? i heard they give some amount of money for funeral and all is said and done after that. government is elected and funded by the tax payer money (in SL sudda's money) to take care of the matters of public interest. if a government is failing they will be held accountable.

for one i don't follow this "hero" and "king" culture like many in SL. government is there for the duty (to take care of its civilians), if they don't do it they should be chased away. but if they do it, that is only "ok". there is nothing "super hero" about it.

now about the topic,

for you it may be of no interest to know how many laid down their lives or sacrificed their limbs. in a country that has been defended by sacrificing more than 19,000 souls over the last 30 years, it is only humbling to know the people who laid their lives for your and mine. have you ever noticed that army doesn't even maintain a public archive of the names of those lost with their photos? I know navy does it and there is a plaque in the parliament grounds.

May be you and your political affiliations does not want that. You may want to them to remain anonymous, faceless and unknown for this and next generations, all for cheap political gains and personal aspirations.

one more thing, do you know that ICRC has been banned from all IDP facilities few days ago. I can live with BBC being banned, but we are talking about ICRC which has the highest level of demonstrated professionalism in taking care of the needy, regardless of the conditions.

my friend, "welcome to "NEW" sri lanka" !!!!!

So you think this numbers can remove the 'king' and the joker (andare) now in Europe can become the 'king'? Its too bad we don't have that mongal's "defence watch". Mongol promised to give numbers so no defence watch means probably no numbers.

Hey Guyz chk this out

Cheney sharply criticizes Obama on terrorism

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former Vice President Dick Cheney on Thursday sharply criticized President Barack Obama's handling of terrorism policy and defended harsh interrogation methods that Obama has labeled torture.

In a speech at the American Enterprise Institute on the same day Obama defended his approach to terrorism, Cheney said Obama's decision to ban tough tactics "is unwise in the extreme."

"It is recklessness cloaked in righteousness and would make the American people less safe," said Cheney, long viewed as a leading hawk in the Bush administration.

He took particular aim at Obama's decision to close the U.S. military prison for foreign terrorism suspects at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. The detention center, which currently houses 240 inmates, opened in 2002 as part of Republican President George W. Bush's war on terrorism and Obama wants it closed by January 2010.

The Democratic-led U.S. Congress bucked Obama on Wednesday by stalling funding for the project because there is no plan on what to do with the prisoners there.

"The administration has found that it's easy to receive applause in Europe for closing Guantanamo. But it's tricky to come up with an alternative that will serve the interests of justice and America's national security," said Cheney.

He spoke at the Washington thinktank just after Obama finished his speech on terrorism.

Sri Lanka should not allow all those dubious NGOs to get foothold in Sri Lanka in the name of helping IDPs.

GOSL should implement a very stringent framework for NGOs to operate. This should be outlined using an legal document that has been passed by the Parliament.

NGOs should be subject to GOSL audits and full accountability.

No Religious NGOs or their attches should be welcomed to engage with any IDPs. These NGOs flock to conflict areas to do their Religious Conversions in the name of helping the vulnerable. We should put a full-stop to it.

LTTE grew this big because of large number of Christian elements flocked to sponsor LTTE to creating misery, in order for them to fish in the murky waters.

We should put a full-stop to it.

If any NGO go beyond their mandate, there should be an authority to deal with them with stringent action possible.

We do not want to sell our motherland cheap to these invaders who come in various disguises.

There are hundreds of thousands of people are homeless/jobless without health insurance in the West, but it is amazing to see how these Religious NGOs flock to countries like Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Cambodia etc ignoring the utter miseries in their home countries!

Sam,

Sorry I should have said N & W = Nuwanthi & Wenura.

By the way, I don't know many of the guys in your JPB list. But I know Wickrama bahu and Kumar David. Wickramabahu was an Anandian from Grade 5 up to University Entrance.

It is a pity that he comes from the same school that produced the likes of SF and GR.

Told you guys so in a earlier post... I have more interesting news for you guys after my last visit to vavuniya. Will share with everyone when the time is right...

Sam,

It would be intersting to find out which schools these JPB went to. Or would it be jus rabble rousing? I don't know.

@dick

Soosai was married to Shankar's sister... he was the forefather of the Tiger Airforce which was a miserable failure!

DW,

I don't know whether you have addressed this aspect because I could not visit the blogs last two days. Can please tell about the fate of all those suicide cadres who have infiltrated Colombo from time to time. Will they just vanish or pose a threat to our leaders? There were instances where these bastards got instructions from overseas, so just because the LTTE is wiped out from SL can we feel safe from these brainwashed human bombs?

Miss Information said...

Meanwhile... former LTTE thug, present war criminal and traitorous rat Karuna has been reported as saying MR made a mistake in saying the GoSL shed no civilian blood in the liberation of the North.

I quote for your pleasure...

___________________________________

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Telegraph, Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan, alias Colonel Karuna, said president Mahinda Rajapaksa had made a mistake when he claimed no-one died at the hands of the army.

His comments undermine the government's previous claims and will alert western diplomats gathering evidence on civilian deaths for a future war crimes case.

During his victory speech in the Sri Lankan Parliament on Tuesday, Mr Rajapaksa said his army had achieved a 'miracle' in winning the battle "without shedding the blood of civilians".

But according to Mr Muralitharan, the president was aware of what he called the "damage" and not accepting it had been a "mistake".

He said Tamil Tigers claims of 20,000 deaths were an overestimate but added: "There are casualties, and we have to appreciate the casualties because without them you can't rescue the people. They made a mistake. The president knows the damage."
________________________________

I have no doubt he is right as it is impossible to fight such a series of battles without so much as an accident that kills civilians but the question is this...

Is Karuna now not to be trusted again or is MR a fool for not coming clean or at least leaving himself some wiggle room in his claims of "Zero Civilian Casualties"?

I guess we all know why no IFJ's are allowed near the IDP camps now and why they were not allowed into the battle and NFZ's!

Don't shoot the messenger here folks... take it up with Karuna who has recently declared himself "A war hero".

We now have the first GoSL Minister on record contradicting the President and you wonder why the western press is so sceptical of GoSL claims.

As I have said here before... if the GoSL just told the truth there would be no need to worry about everyone telling the same story.

Is everyone happy with Karuna now?

I am guessing not.

If you surround yourself with shit eventually you will smell bad.

Not ever one appreciate MR. Those who appreciate MR also may not do it in the same way. And every one don't have to appreciate MR.

and to that Ninja said,

"Thanks. So this is just for your info. I don't think an one here can give you correct numbers and even if some one gives I don't know how can you be sure that to be correct. So only way I see is you can contact MOD directly and ask the numbers. (For me I wait until king tell the numbers. I have no hurry.)"

Dis Information the Terrorist Scum,

Do you know what the highest power in Sri Lanka or for that matter in any country is? That is the power to pardon. The president is the only person who can use that power in the legal system. The people has pardoned Karuna already in their minds. Karuna may differ in his opinion, however we hold no grudges against him. As a citizen of Sri Lanka, Karuna is free to speak. We will not nitpick the tiny differences since we want to build consensus now on. If things get thrown off the track by racist terrorist scum like you, we the people will request the president to preemptively pardon (amnesty) Karuna.

In essence what you little terrorist scum trying to do will never happen.

mmmm, gays are having fun here. Now the war is over it is time for all the gays to hoot. Mongal is already doing it. They say "the king" should have done this and that, the future will be bleak and the dooms day is behind the corner. But the gays do not know that we have been listening to such songs for so many years we are bored. No, fucking bored.

Ninja,
Please do not shoot the gays.

"Gays":- in politico-military sense. The better word would be "she males".

Not only have you avoided, as usual, the point I make but you fail to grasp that Karuna's crimes were crimes against humanity and no elected leader anywhere on earth can give amnesty to those who commit them.

Karuna is a thug responsible for many unspeakable acts and although MR might think that is forgivable it is merely an issue of political expedience on his part.

By your "reasoning"... and I use that term loosely... the President could have given the same amnesty or pardon to VP and the rest of the LTTE terrorist thugs but I guess because they weren't traitors like Karuna they did not qualify.

If there is a hell then Karuna has a place in it alongside his former master VP and no amount of poorly constructed fast-talking can keep him out of it.

Back to the issue of zero casualties now.

True or false?

Oh... yes... something very laughable about citizens of Sri LAnka having freedom of speech when the likes of you are constantly calling for traitors to be "white vanned".

We all know a traitor is someone who disagrees with you so there goes the whole freedom of speech bit now.

Really Mis information modaya ..

When was Truman pardoned for obliterating Hiroshima ? Wasnt that a crime against humanity ?

We choose to pardon karuna . and we choose not to pardon the fat horror . That is the end of the story - kapish ?

GoldenEagle,

I hardly saw you here for a long time (sorry if I have missed your postings)...!

Now you have come and say it is kind of boring.

Man, lot of interesting things happenning,

Now all the LTTE goons based overseas are starting Eelam war V or VI or whatever.

It is a two-step process with some pre-amble.

The preamble,
Discredit GOSL and pressure GOSL on bogus Human Rights lines. Submit Sri Lanka for a "power-sharing" proposal. In the process, twist the GOSL arm into accepting Federal Solution.

Step 1: Federal
Step 2: Tamil Eelam

It is now a greater importance for our patriots to be unite and defeat these sinister maneuvers.

Now it is easier for them, as the LTTE is no more, so that they can not be accused of pushing LTTE agenda!

Hope all the patriots would get this!

You forgot to add Nagasaki where he certainly was culpable for a mass killing that was not called for.

You also did not answer my question as to Zero civilian casualties.

True or false?

Who do I believe in this case... the war criminal Karuna (recently pardoned) or the President who made a deal with the devil in question?

Which version do you believe?

Capisce?

We are talking human lives here and the use of the word target seems rather inappropriate n'est pas?

If MR had said at the outset the goal was "To do everything in our power to minimise civilian hardships" he would be home free on the issue because there is sufficient ambiguity to allow subsequent interpretation for any contingency as required by the unpredictable and inevitable problems facing the GoSL in the war.

By claiming "ZERO" there is only room for failure and none for reasonable explanations.

It was a mistake and he should leave that mistake behind before it causes any more problems.

Simple strategy left in the dust by ego.
