On 9th jan morning at main entrance airport doctor came to enter the airport. As normally air force couppral ask to take the NIC and ask few questions such as whats ur name,ID number in sinhala. Doctor answered all the question in sinhala without any problem. But airmen stop his vehicle directed doctor to the provided bus to the departures coz new security mashers implement in airport very recently.
then he got in to the bus went to the last seat and watch about 5 min what air force men doing. just before the bus was departed this doctor got off the bus and got into the three wheeler and ask to go to colombo.
this whole incident was closely monitored by the aviation security personal( aviation security= people solely responsible for the safety of civil aircraft and civil passengers(not air force)) and stopped him. and deeply questioned. aviation security staff found that he can speek very little sinhala and he is not a doctor while NIC says a doctor. they found woonds looks like gun shot woond. After that this fake doctor was handed over to the CID and then to MI.
as this movement MI detected that he is western province LTTp intelligence head and detected another four. He came to plan suicide blast in airport targeting VIP.
People thought that I am very weak.
And some ambassadors came and told me, from the West, ‘What are you doing?' I said, ‘I am trying to talk to them.
That's why I don't want to do anything.' They were sympathizing with me, the way that this man [Prabhakaran] was going on.

So from that time I ordered them to clear the place, so we cleared it. And we went on, we not only liberated [eastern Sri Lanka] from the Tigers but immediately we had local government elections.

And parents, as soon as he left to Colombo, they have gone to the police station and made a statement that army came and checked them and thereafter a white van came and abducted this man.
Can you imagine?
Now this is a good example.
And some of these people who are claiming that they were abducted are in Paris or in Germany or in London or in Canada....
Certainly we take them into custody. Why should we abduct them? It is much better to take them and keep them. All these suspects, we take them into custody. And they have given us a lot of information. We have found a lot of things. Ammunition, explosives.
But if there is a complaint, certainly we look into it.
And I must tell you that even in the army, the forces, we have human rights units.
here is a major general, a Tamil lady, who is in charge of human rights.
So every day they will go and teach them and give lectures.

I personally think that the registation of citizens is both unconstitutional and a violation of human rights. All Sri Lankan citizens have a basic right to live anywhere and everywhere without being asked the reason for their stay, its gauranteed in the constituition. I am completely againts the police and army raiding Tamil areas and taking into custody those that cannot prove their reason for stay. Why would anyone need to prove the reasons for their stay? They are Sri Lankans, they don't need to prove a reason. Its these types of harrassment that makes the Tamils angry and left out, and continue wanting to support the fat pig. Granted, there are suicide bombers and LTTE pigs out there, but surely there are more fairer and just ways to weed them out than take every Tamil who cannot prove a reason to stay into illegal custody?

I have reported to the defence ministry. But the Ofiicial, who answered for the phone said.

SSL is not that easy crack. But lots of servers are still using SSL v2 and it uses weak Ciper, which can be easily cracked.
But the biggest issue is Phishing attacks and M-I-M (man in the middle attacks).
With very minimum effor, certificate can recreated with the same name,but hash value can be different. These cerificates can be used in MIM attacks and all user IDs/passwords can be retrived easily passing through the SSL tunnel.
I have successfully simulated this in the office.

Main reason is that, all who are in the fronts are so busy doing all the hard work for the final push (like defencenet reported) and most of the units are locked with pitched battles. Flow of information is vey limited and most of the officers are not contactable.
Forward fighting units have infiltrated most of the remaining areas in Mullaittivu aggressively. Real fighting is going on and should expect more fighting in the coming days guys. Even though we don’t like to hear, heavy casualties are reported and casualties are flowing to Anuradhapura today. (If you guys got relations or friends in Anuradhapura, you all can get this confirmed). Use of indirect fire is very limited. As most of the bloggers mentioned, SLAF is going a great job; SLAF is receeing the remaining area constantly and caring out attacks. Story is that Prabakaran escaped yesterday. No doubt he is in great danger for his life and under tremendous pressure from every way.
As we all know military is expecting the 200,000 to 250,000 civilians who are been kept forcibly by LTTE to stand against the LTTE and to flee the areas. This will make life easy for the military. Most of the forcibly recruited LTTE carders are expect to desert the outfit and join their families in the mean time like what happened in the East.

2.some have contacted foreign missions involved in lankan affairs and have surrendered though them.in this way they seek security guarantees from the missions for their safy concerns while making available themselves for the sri lankan security apparatus.
3.some have directly contacted foreign agencies and then defected directly though them.SF does not wish to discuss this issue for the time being.
dealing with the ltte moles and informants were traditionally handled by the directorate of iternal intelligence the former NIB.but in the 90's army established its own Intel division the and since then the state and military intel have been dealing with tigers and out of that too as far as the ltte is concerned, it has been the MI which has taken the lead while state Intel taking more of a political and economic intel role.so in the past there have been two major defections on the part of the ltte.the most well known was karuna ammans defections which was almost solely handled by the military intel despite karuna informing and getting some channels working with powerful external agencies for his safety and well being.

the best example of this situation is vp.a powerful nation involved in sri lankan affairs has already offered vp guarantees of safe passage out of sri lanka if he so wishes.he will have to move out with a few other conditions and in exchange he will have safe passage and will have to live in exile.he will not be harmed but will never be able to move out from the place he will be moved to and can live as a comparative free man without much issues.vp has done immense damage to this country concerned which has offered him this position.so if this to leak out the nation concerned will have to deal with immense internal pressure stemming out of public opinion.so these are diplomatic deals made never to be revealed.in such a move the country feels that it can deal with the sentiments in the south effectively with them having a sense of being not defeated fully and at the same time winning its objective of finishing the war of sri lanka.the power concerned must be calculating that preserving vp is much beneficial to deal with the consequences of finishing the sri lankan war with the military might than to have him dead,especially dealing with local political and emotional unrest.
some sections of sri lanka too feels the same.on one hand the last battle will be won without much damages and with the exit of the boss and the remaining cadres too will crumble like rubble with demoralization and a loss of h9ope.less bleeding and the objectives will be realized.but then how will the public of sri lanka react to this...?

The way that I look at it, any organization has to have a central figure with larger than life personality and charisma. Usually people look up to that personality.
If you look at their material, it is the Eelam map and prabha's face.

to me it seems as if obama is going to try the same as what FDR tried and failed on the economy. He's just gonna have to rely on foreign goverment buying more and more dollar bonds. it's these same bonds that caused these problems in the first place.

I met some people recently and they were interested in contributing to to prosthetic. They have already figured out a pathway: Sending money to one Major Daluwaththa. Apparently, SL govt. add 40% matching funds and make purchases.
I wanted to see a better way.
Rather than buying limbs, we should be able to manufacture them since there are at least 30,000 needing them.

As you know these limbs don't last for ever. They have to be replaced once they wear and tear so the real demand is lot more than the number of people disabled.

Americans will face the $1+ Trillion trade deficits years to come and how long they can survive on foreign investments is always questionable since the main investment parter, China, sooner or later, will pull out its investments. Until unless they find the right mix of balance for their consumption based economy, the current issues will continue to resurface and Obama himself can't solve it. American economic scholars won't even know whether the current economic practice of Keynesian's theory is the right one for job growth.
I expect it will take at least another 2 years for the world economy to come on its foot and the world will be less depended on US economy that time.
If China and Japan start dumping their $ reserves the dollar will loose as much as 30-40% of it's value according to some estimates. I am not sure whether Obama is heading the right way. Imbalances are mother of all economic problems. Enough talking about US economy now before we agitate ledgendary "Pottu" to come and remind in his own unique way that this is a defence blog lol

I did not know we produce limbs. I have heard that they last only 3 years. There is a different kind that lasts forever and I provided a link for that earlier.

Yesterday I reported here LTTE Ponna Pirbha pleaded conditional surrender. Governement not give any publicity regarding this matter. Most probable reasons are
1.Gov cannot agree for Pirba ponna conditions.
2. If it publicited there will be International pressure to accept conditional surrender and let Pirbha Ponna to work under democratic framwork.
3.SLDF never agree to Pirbha ponna conditional surrender
I just got a message regarding this. So just wait till tomorrow morning till contact the reliable sources to confirm the outcome.
