Tiger Team Detected at Vilgamvehera

The Sri Lanka Army attacked a group of around 30 LTTE cadres in the general area north of Vilgamvehera, close to the Nilaveli lagoon last night. At least one Tiger was killed when the group stumbled on a SLA night patrol. One soldier was also killed in the fight.

Sources indicated to DefenceWire that the Tigers are part of a group being sent to the East via Trincomalee on a rotating basis. These infiltrations will become difficult if SLA manages to dominate the Eastern coastline, northwards from Kokkuthuduwai. Troops from the 59 Division have already advance close to the Ceylon Theaters Junction in Weli Oya.

"Tiger team detected in Vilgamvehera"

This place acc to your map is quite inside SLA controlled area. If true what are its implications:

1.Tiger manpower shortage may not be as bad as projected--they can afford to rotate troops even at height/risk of assault of wanni.

2.Tigers may not be worried about wanni falling.

3.This may be a local unit of Trincomalee, not coming from wanni?

4.This team may have been tasked for an attack behind the lines

5.The SLA control of 'cleared' territory may be suffering from manpower diversion to north/south?

Sun Tzu's disciple,

"This place acc to your map is quite inside SLA controlled area."

It's not new/ surprising fact that tiger terrorists are trying to show off in everywhere they can. Do you think its a very special thing?
Anyone can disguise as civilians, beggars, fishermen and slip through checkpoints/SLA towards south. This is the general coward way of LTTE to attack innocent people.
The point is that LTTE terrorists are just unable to fight face to face with SLA.

"1.Tiger manpower shortage may not be as bad as projected--they can afford to rotate troops even at height/risk of assault of wanni."

May not be? or MAY BE as well. So, No need to argue here. lol!

“2.Tigers may not be worried about wanni falling.”

Same as above. LOL!

“3.This may be a local unit of Trincomalee, not coming from wanni?”

May be! or May not be. Nice guess work mate! Keep guessing, Until the Wanni Falls!

“4.This team may have been tasked for an attack behind the lines”

Behind the enemy lines.. ha? My dear friend, This is not a war between 2 states. All are Anti-Terrorists operations. In other words Counter-Terrorism!

Terrorists = Ruthless organizations who kill innocent people and destroy anything that they think is unacceptable according to their own Jungle Laws.
So all the attacks on civilians in any city or village is a terrorist activity, which should be eliminated immediately.

No one addresses WTC attack as "attack behind the lines". Try applying for "Joke of the year"

“5.The SLA control of 'cleared' territory may be suffering from manpower diversion to north/south?”

According to available stats SLA Man Power is in good health and kicking! Let SLA /Government handle this. They will surely ask you when they need an adviser on this. LOL!

Intelattack,

This is a defence blog, so I raise defence-related questions and scenarios as per my perspective.
I am not here to root for either party.
If you feel very warm and cozy inside your cocoon of ignorance I have no wish to disturb you. You know, countries which have consistently succeeded on the battlefield never shy away from discussing their own weaknesses and the enemies strenghts.

LTTE may be "cowards" in your dictionary , but you got to realise that these cowards have repeatedly BEATEN your military squarely in the past. Where does that leave your militarys' reputation?
If the Sri Lankan military is populated by fossils like you it may not succeed in defeating these 'cowards'.

Sun Tzu's disciple,

Yes you are 100% Correct. Who told that you didn't?

"I am not here to root for either party. "
Who told that you belong to either party? And nobody wants to ask you as well? Your comments show who you are and who you support.

"If you feel very warm and cozy inside your cocoon of ignorance I have no wish to disturb you. "
Frankly I don't wanna take this personal, since this blog is not made for that. So I refrain from commenting on comments like this.
But of course buddy, you didn't disturb be at all. It's a pleasure to enjoy your comments.

"You know, countries which have consistently succeeded on the battlefield never shy away from discussing their own weaknesses and the enemies strenghts."
Very true! But I think you explain SLA weaknesses in a much ambiguous way (using words like "MAY BE", "MAY NOT BE") without any proven facts.
We hold the right to explain LTTE Terrorists weaknesses and brutal attacks on innocent civilians in much unambiguous ways.

“LTTE may be "cowards" in your dictionary , but you got to realise that these cowards have repeatedly BEATEN your military squarely in the past.”

Keep reading the history book. It won't help LTTE this time. LTTE terrorists have been using a mix of various COWERD and SHOW-OFF attacks to demoralize general public. We know what LTTE’s doing. We will wait for SLA to eliminate LTTE and liberate north. After that you can start reading the history book.

"Where does that leave your militarys' reputation?
If the Sri Lankan military is populated by fossils like you it may not succeed in defeating these 'cowards'."
Srilanka is not using it's military as a way to build the reputation as LTTE do. On the other hand SLA gains reputation everyday as they have been doing from past couple of years.
Since LTTE is having very good reputation worldwide for being the most ruthless terrorist organization, no one questions it.
Yes. Cowards are hard to defeat. But it will be easier when all good men in the world join to ERADICATE Terrorism. Its a cancer to the world which should be eliminated without a trace.

LOL. Don't you think you contradicted yourself:))?

People sometimes mistakes abuse for argument.
And people sometimes take to abuse when they have nothing to back-up their claims.
Good day sir.

Sun Tzu's disciple,

He he! Come on man! Do I need to say like;
I think you explain "So called" / “what you claimed as “ SLA weaknesses in a much ambiguous way (using words like "MAY BE", "MAY NOT BE") without any proven facts?

Just add the word son. This is not a word game. The emphasis is your use of MAY and MAY NOT. I thought you would understand the point. Next time, I'll write in the way that you can understand! Sorry sir.

"People sometimes mistakes abuse for argument.
And people sometimes take to abuse when they have nothing to back-up their claims.
Good day sir."
Good day to you too Sir, but it's me who pointed out your (MAY and MAY NOT) conspiracy theories. Not you! But now you are telling me about having nothing to back-up the claims.
I didn't made claims. U did it and I just broke them. Just be more professional on arguments; not on word games like old school debaters do.

So sad that you get overwhelmed for some missing words and loose the whole point.
Please make sure that I got all word in the order. Post a Comment otherwise.

Bye SIR!!! lol!

P.S: Sorry DefenceWire for commenting like this. Sometimes, we need to prove what’s right and at the same time educate some people on childish things. I’ll make sure that this will be my last comment on education.

IA,
I was listing out the possible scenarios of said incident. Therefore the use of 'may'and 'maybe not' . That is called circumspection--since we are not in a position to know actual truth. There is no ambiguity there.
It is your wish to agree or disagree with my deductions--you are welcome to give your impressions too.

The LTTE is believed to have only a few thousand armed fighters left, and these are suffering from a shortage of ammunition and morale. But the LTTE still has a formidable commando force, willing to take on true suicide missions, and with an impressive track record. There may only be a few hundred "Black Tigers" available, but their ability to hit heavily guarded targets is apparently undiminished. Even if defeated, the LTTE could unleash its Black Tiger commandos for a final round of attacks
