The Sri Lanka Army attacked a group of around 30 LTTE cadres in the general area north of Vilgamvehera, close to the Nilaveli lagoon last night. At least one Tiger was killed when the group stumbled on a SLA night patrol. One soldier was also killed in the fight.
Sources indicated to DefenceWire that the Tigers are part of a group being sent to the East via Trincomalee on a rotating basis. These infiltrations will become difficult if SLA manages to dominate the Eastern coastline, northwards from Kokkuthuduwai. Troops from the 59 Division have already advance close to the Ceylon Theaters Junction in Weli Oya.

1.Tiger manpower shortage may not be as bad as projected--they can afford to rotate troops even at height/risk of assault of wanni.
2.Tigers may not be worried about wanni falling.
3.This may be a local unit of Trincomalee, not coming from wanni?
4.This team may have been tasked for an attack behind the lines
5.The SLA control of 'cleared' territory may be suffering from manpower diversion to north/south?

It's not new/ surprising fact that tiger terrorists are trying to show off in everywhere they can. Do you think its a very special thing?

LTTE may be "cowards" in your dictionary , but you got to realise that these cowards have repeatedly BEATEN your military squarely in the past. Where does that leave your militarys' reputation?
If the Sri Lankan military is populated by fossils like you it may not succeed in defeating these 'cowards'.

Very true! But I think you explain SLA weaknesses in a much ambiguous way (using words like "MAY BE", "MAY NOT BE") without any proven facts.

Keep reading the history book. It won't help LTTE this time. LTTE terrorists have been using a mix of various COWERD and SHOW-OFF attacks to demoralize general public. We know what LTTE’s doing. Srilanka is not using it's military as a way to build the reputation as LTTE do. On the other hand SLA gains reputation everyday as they have been doing from past couple of years.

the threat in central province should be looked into and not ignored (as occurred in monaragala). central province indian tamils are radicalising and this does not bode well. talk of strange characters roaming the wilderness around rantambe resevoir should be taken very seriously.
