Navy bids adieu to 12 valiant SBS braves

The progress of the 53, 58 and TF-8 troops have been hit by seasonal extremities in Vellamullaivaikkaal. Marching from north of Mullaitivu to south of Mullaitivu is a particularly difficult choice for the infantry.

Experienced officers know that the Mullaitivu coast is particularly harsh during the months of May, June and July when the winds raise dust storms and the sun beats down on you whenever there's a break from the heavy downpour.

Given these harsh conditions, troops marched and gained control of a 50m2 area by last evening. The sand and heavily mined beaches make the progress tedious. But the Army is preparing a new strategy against the Tigers; one that is quite different to the first phase of the rescue mission.

With the LTTE's back against the wall, the group has called on the Sea Tigers to take over its escape strategy. The seas off Mullaivaikkaal have been the scene for bitter battles between the Navy and the Sea Tigers with the Navy gaining the upper hand in many of the face to face skirmishes.

Today, however, was a bad day for the Navy, particularly for the Navy's elite Special Boat Squadron. 12 men from the SBS including the SBS' 2nd in-charge (2IC) were killed when they were lured into a trap laid by LTTE Sea Tigers.

The valiant officer and his SBS men, having successfully engaged a flotilla of Sea Tiger boats had observed a fast moving boat off the Mullaitivu coast and approached it with the hope of capturing the boat. Surprisingly, this particularly large vessel had been unmanned.

By the time they realized what it was, it was too late for the gallant officer and men. The remote controlled vessel packed with explosives exploded, killing the 2 IC, a Lieutenant Commander (Posthumously Commander) and 11 other men.

Guys,

This is the list of UK parliamentarians. If you can write individually to each of them explaining the LTTE atrocities, we can change the table back.

Please ask them why they don’t force the LTTE to release the innocent Tamil civilians, whom they kept a human shield.

In my opinion lost of these 12 brave men by the Navy is totally unacceptable.

The question we should raised whether the Navy high command gave the necessary instructions when intercepting anything LTTE on high seas?

Why they were not briefed the constant danger about LTTE vessels adequately?

At this late stage of war this scenariou shold not be allowed to repeat.

Govt. offers amnesty to LTTE
Cadres who lay down arms and surrender will be rehabilitated
By Leon Berenger

The Government has decided on an amnesty for all LTTE members who lay down their arms and surrender and those currently held in detention without trial, Human Rights Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe told The Sunday Times last night.
Minister Mahinda Samarasingh

He said the regulations for this purpose were being drafted in consultation with the Attorney General and they would cover anyone in the LTTE who agreed to lay down weapons and surrender to the security forces.

"This includes those still holding on to arms in the no-fire zone and continue to engage the security forces in hostile battle. However the amnesty will not be granted to those who have already been charged or convicted in courts. In these cases, the legal process will be applied," the minister said.
He said an undisclosed number of LTTE members had come along with the displaced people to the camps in the Wanni.

"While some have confessed they are members of the LTTE, others are being investigated for their links with the group,” Mr. Samarasinghe said.

He said he was not aware of the exact number of the LTTE cadres among the displaced people, but other officials put the figure at about 3000. Mr. Samarasinghe said the LTTE members would be rehabilitated and later allowed to re-integrate with the others after investigators were convinced that they have shunned separatism.

Officials said that around 1000 LTTE people had already confessed their involvement with the LTTE and were undergoing rehabilitation in special transit camps situated in the Wanni and elsewhere.

Earlier the United Nations (UN) also urged the Government to consider a general amnesty for LTTE members who were willing to give up arms and surrender to the security forces.

Vigilante,

Our opinion is bases on what DW says here. However, the real question is whether it is a totally accurate account. It is virtually impossible to get a highly accurate account without a hearing when it comes to this kind of scenarios even if you eye witnessed the event. To me, it is very puzzling that SBS approached a tiger boat like this, specially a remote controlled one. Further more, this action will guarantee sinking of the next boat if nobody comes out with hands up.

BTW, watch for a new wave of peacemongers, white master worshipers, green monkeys, dogooders, fuzzy analysts, and dizzy informers.

From the increased sea Tiger activity several scenarios are possible
1. Test the SLN capabilities and draw them to a gun fight and use as a decoy to get Prabha out.

2.Attempt to soften naval defences and allow a foreign sub marine to enter the coast and rescue Prabha

3. Attempt to get Prabha out via Southern end of No fire zone when final operation begins south of Mullivaikkal. Any thoughts?

PATRIOTS,

The remote controlled suicide craft is probably a precursor to warn the SLN to keep away from the FINAL ESCAPE ATTEMPT by SEA that will take place in the NEAR FUTURE.

Consider the folowing scenario:

1. A large FLOTILLA of boats assembles and takes off from the Mullaitivu beach at high speed towards the open ocean. A few of these boats, carrying VP and other Top LTTE leaders, plan to RENDEZVOUS with a ship, or to continue in RELAYS transferring gas from one to the other, and abandoining boats without fuel, until a LAND DESTINATION is reached.

2. The outer ring in the flotilla will appear to be unmanned, but will be carrying either FUEL or Bound Civilian HOSTAGES. With the curent PRACTICE/WARNING RUN, the SLN will be RELUCTANT to approach these boats; the alternative is to SINK them from a distance by GUNFIRE or BOMBING from the Air. They are REMOTELY CONTROLLED, for both navigation and explosion purposes as needed, from one or more COMMAND craft located at the CENTER of the flotilla.

The TANKER craft can carry more fuel if remotely controlled and devoid of passengers, and if wired to explode, can be used to destroy SLN vessels as well. The hostage carrying craft can be blown up to generate maximum adverse publicity for the GOSL. Remember, all of these are being monitored in REAL-TIME by the other LTTE boats as well as SPY SATELLITES of foreign powers.

3. The next ring of the flotilla contains LOW-PROFILE suicide craft and FAST ATTACK CRAFT loaded with explosives for this LAST MISSION to defend the COMMAND CRAFT at the CENTER of the flotilla. These boats, and the Sea Tigers manning them, are ALL EXPENDABLE. They are not intended to survive the operation; if they do survive the BREAKTHROUGH RUN, they are expected to return to Mullaitivu for a LAST STAND. There is no fuel to take them all the way to the DESTINATION.

4. The COMMAND CRAFT at the CENTER of the flotilla will contain the Top-LTTE Leaders, including VP, and everything they need to survive and function wherever their FINAL SAFE HAVEN will be. Among those things are cell phones, satellite communications equipment, bank account and address books, and personal weapons (pistols, AK-47's), shoulder fired Missile Launchers, and food supplies. A few remotely controlled FUEL TANKERS will be included among these COMMAND CRAFT at the CENTER of the flotilla as a LAST DITCH FUEL RESERVE.

5. Of course, the MAIN FLOTILLA could really be a complete FAKE OPERATION, a RED HERRING, designed to divert the SLN and SLA from the smaller REAL BREAKTHROUGH towards the Wanni by Land, or in the opposite direction to the MAIN BREAKTHROUGH by SEA.

Who says I cannot speculate as well as the very best of our resident ARMCHAIR ADMIRALS? Lol!

LTTE Terrorism COMES HOME TO ROOST in Tamil NaduLTTE supporters attack Indian Army convoyIANS, May 02, 2009

COIMBATORE: An Indian Army convoy was attacked by Tamil Tiger supporters in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore city Saturday, a defence spokesman said here.

Supporters of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) stopped five army trucks carrying ammunition and personnel who were returning from training in Secunderabad in Andhra Pradesh. They were on their way to Thiruvananthapuram.

Nobody was injured even as the angry protesters pelted stones causing minor damages to a couple of trucks.

"They (army personnel) were supposed to halt at the unit in Coimbatore for the day. The attack took place just before they reached Coimbatore. There has been no damage (to arms and ammunition) at all," said the spokesman.

He said the army personnel did not retaliate. "They immediately informed police."

Sri Lanka's war against the LTTE has caused a stir in Tamil Nadu where the terror group has many supporters for its cause to carve an independent state for minority Tamils in the island nation. The months of combat operations have pushed the Tamil Tigers to a corner, whose top rung leaders are now squeezed into a narrow coastal strip. ]

Missionary position -on Indian TV!

Why do we provide space for people like "Father" Gasper Raj

http://www.dailypioneer.com/173315/Miss ... n-TV!.html

Quote

Missionary position -on Indian TV!

The Other Voice | B Haran

Is the Church fanning the flames of Tamil nationalism in pre-election Tamil Nadu ? A probe of Father J Gasper Raj’s background may provide some valuable answers

The Christian Church has an old tendency to infiltrate non-white and non-Semitic civilisations and then influence people with propaganda aimed at undermining their faith in their own ancient culture. The objective is to eventually Christianise these countries entirely.

The Sinhala-Tamil divide is a result of that strategy. Just as the Church divided Tamil Nadu society through its bogus 'Aryan' (Brahmin) - 'Dravidian' (Non-Brahmin) theory to alienate non-Brahmins from the 'Hindu' fold along linguistic lines (Aryan: Sanskrit; Dravidian: Tamil), so too did they divide the Sri Lankan people capitalising on their language (Sinhala-Tamil) divide. On the one hand, it backed the LTTE fully against the government, and on the other, it successfully infiltrated the Sri Lankan establishment and influenced the government through the Sinhala Christian leadership.

The first Sri Lankan Tamil leader to raise the demand for separatism was a Christian - Samuel James Velupillai Chelvanayakam. He called for a "Greater Dravida Nadu" on both sides of the Palk Straits. It could be said that the LTTE followed his footsteps, backed by the Church and missionaries. Ever since ethnic riots took place in 1983, Anton Balasingham, a Roman Catholic, assumed the mantle of LTTE's political leadership and was second only to Velupillai Prabhakaran, also a Christian.

Over the past few days, Father Gasper Raj has been promoted several times by the national TV channels as a ‘representative’ of Sri Lankan Tamils. Participating in TV debates, he blatantly supports the LTTE as a ‘human rights activist’. He criticised the Indian government, and in one debate he had the audacity to call Dr Subramanian Swamy a "paid agent of Rajapakse". Yet, it is unclear if he is a Sri Lankan refugee or an Indian citizen. His antecedents and present activities in Tamil Nadu need thorough investigation.

Never thought this Blood Thirsty MF was a Christian. I always thought he was a Hindu. No wonder all these Western MFs are supporting their beloved son. Now I understand why the Sri Lankan church is so silent.

Has any Tamilians reading this blog site ever wondered how a Tamil Christian Can run the show for almost 25 years? Aren't you guys being discriminated, if the Majority of the Tamil Religion is Hindu (I am not sure about the Tamil Population stats, but assume majority is Tamil Hindu).

I believe the same applies to Sinhalese as well. There are around 60% of Buddhist in the country. But seems like the show is run by the Christians (I saw somewhere 60% of UNP ministers are Christians). Has anyone wondered why? I am not talking about Religion here, but just statistics. Things should be divided according to population statistics, otherwise there is discrimination and it should be fixed.

Please note I am not raising a religious issue, but fairness issue based on population sample statistics.

Rosy Senanayake, Malik Samarawickrama, S.B. Dissanayake, and Johnston Fernando is a national security threat. Among these leaders, the are some religious fundamentalists and theirunwitting followers By forming the anti Sri Lankan alliance of Ranil-Mano-Rauf-Mangala, they have successfully reduced UNP to pro-terrorist and whitemaster worshipping minority party. This condition is a grave national security risk.My hope is that good patriotic Sri Lankans like Sajith will rake reins of UNP soon. Otherwise, Sri Lanka as a nation will face serious problems in the future.

Do not worry abt the UNP scums. Its a mix of scums from all religions. But I agree that the church can do better than this if they truly care about Tamil/Sinhala followers. At least notifying the atrocities of LTTE to the west.

We shall remember them said...

SAS said "This is the list of UK parliamentarians. If you can write individually to each of them explaining the LTTE atrocities, we can change the table back"

Thank you SAS. Good idea, I was reading the debate in the UK House of Commons regarding the subject, the usual suspects who has sold their souls to the LTTE devils in exchange for a handful of Tamil votes to save their "marginal seats", lead the way.

Namely, Joan "I am much dimmer than I look" Ryan woman, from Enfield (London),

Interestingly enough, Ms Ryan voted STRONGLY FOR the war in Iraq,
Voted STRONGLY for, Labour party's anti terrorism laws (hypocrisy knows no bounds for this lady)AND, voted VERY STRONGLY AGAINST an inquiry into the Iraq and weapons of mass destruction, post war.

Siobhan McDonagh, MP for Mitcham & Modern (you guessed it... lots of votes)

And, the main man who recently proclaimed that he had been supporting the "Tamil cause" for the last 25 years. Then again, he belongs to UK Lib Dem party, therefore, this guy is an expert on lost causes.

He is: Simon Hughes. Liberal Democratic MP for Southwark & Bermondsey.

He made headlines in British tabloids a few years back for using male sex phone chat lines (seriously).

Right now, this gentleman has gone off to Washington with 2 very important young male "former hunger strikers" from Westminster protest. To meet up with some UN folks or some bull or another.

Oh well, at least my tax money is not been spent on "male sex chat phone lines" this time. I am sure he’s utilising his time very productively at the expense of us, the British tax payer.

Another interesting fact about the above gentleman is, his current constituency has a large Muslim voter base than Tamil. He was last year voted as the "parliamentarian of the year" or “friend of Muslim” by some Muslim organisation or another.

Hmmm... What would his Muslim voters think about this gentleman "very passionately" as he puts it, supporting a group of people who persecuted, killed and maimed so many Muslim brothers in Srilanka? And, hacked to death the young while they were praying in mosques?

Going forward with SAS's suggestion, I'd be inclined to write to the above honourable parliamentarians first.

Then there’s Keith “I am in anybody’s pocket for a fiver” Vaz, MP for Leicester (who not only has Tamil votes in his constituency but the wife’s got a nice little earner from taking up immigration, asylum seeker/refugee cases

Also, Virenda Singh MP for Ealing North

Sibhone, Simon Hughes and Joan Ryan has websites. If you can't access them, find their opponent in the same seat and air your view on their websites, I am sure they'll let these people know.

We shall remember them said...

This one really made me angry.

Keith Simpson, conservative MP for Mid Norfolk.

In the middle of the country, so no terrorist votes there, but he is some shadow minister.

What an ignorant and patronising twat he is!!!

Please somebody who is more articulate and eloquent than me, explain to him what democracy is (I will too, anyway, with some pictures of “not very nice things done by not a nice bunch of people , i.e. LTTE)

But, more we do, they have to take notice and keep their traps shut in the future if they got nothing useful to say.

Address: The Stable,(the best place for the donkey IMO)

Attlebridge, Norwich, Norfolk NR9

Here's what this "Captain Mainwaring" (from Dad's Army) has to say about Srilanka.

Mr. Keith Simpson (Mid-Norfolk) (Con): I congratulate the hon. Member for Kingston and Surbiton (Mr. Davey) on introducing this short debate. I also want to congratulate all members of the Government on the efforts that they have made over the past few months in a very difficult situation. All Members of the House cannot but be moved by the despair of the British Tamil community, highlighted by the demonstration outside Parliament, over what is happening to their friends and relatives.

This is the third time that this subject has been debated in the past two or three months. We had a debate on 5 February and another on 24 March, and powerful speeches were made by hon. Members from all parties. Hon. Members will be relieved to hear that I do not intend to speak for half an hour, reiterating all the points that have been made. I merely want to try to emphasise two or three points, tying together—as I see it—the problems of achieving an immediate ceasefire and a somewhat longer-term solution. This situation has been bedevilled on both sides by extremists who have used terror and counter-terror, with truces declared and broken, to further their particular political interests. That has happened recently with both the Sri Lankan Government and the LTTE.

Enormous efforts have been made by individual Governments and by the international community to attempt to force both sides to come to a ceasefire. At different stages, neither side has found it in their interests to do so. That is not to say that the efforts that have been made have been nugatory and should not have been attempted. An important, powerful point concerns the way in which this House, on the whole, has spoken with one voice. That has had an impact—although not a particularly great one—on the Sri Lankan Government.

Apart from anything else, I think that they thought that they had had a more sophisticated public relations campaign over the past few months.

The immediate problem is not only to achieve a ceasefire but to bring in humanitarian aid to those people who are now concentrated in camps to which there is limited access. There are tens of thousands of them and I think that the fear of many outside observers is that the Sri Lankan Government intend to weed out people from those camps whom they regard as terrorists. It is very important that we not only have international observers there but members of the media, including members of the media in Sri Lanka.

Of course, a ceasefire is also required to prevent the final overrun of the last bit of territory held by the LTTE where tens of thousands of innocent civilians are suffering from both sides. The Sri Lankan Government are still using aerial weapons, artillery and air strikes. We know that from the UN representative. Equally, as the former Minister at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the right hon. Member for Pontypridd (Dr. Howells), pointed out, the LTTE armed wing is made up of a particularly vicious and nasty bunch of people. They have forcibly put young people into their fighting groups and used civilians as screens. We should not absolve ourselves from that.

I am not trying to be negative, but I do not genuinely believe that the Sri Lankan Government will agree to a ceasefire. I think that they believe that they are so close to achieving a military victory that they will do anything to stop one. I do not think that there is anything that the international community or the British Government can do to force them not to achieve that military victory, you got that right, buster$! as the Sri Lankan Government see it. That is not to say that I do not think that we should shout from the rooftops about what they are doing. The problem that they face, as a number of hon. Members have pointed out, is that that military victory will be pyrrhic. They will achieve a military victory but they will immediately face the problem of dealing with the Tamil community in Sri Lanka. They will probably then come under enormous pressure and will feel that they have to give in to international observers and the United Nations. We should be thinking now about what pressure we can bring at that point and what we want to demand of the Sri Lankan Government.

As other hon. Members have said, in every conflict that we can think of, this kind of military victory will result in the surviving members of the LTTE carrying out terrorist acts, not only in Sri Lanka but worldwide, on a scale the likes of which the Sri Lankan Government have not yet seen. So what I urge colleagues to think about is that we continue to maintain the pressure on the Sri Lankan Government, through the sort of action that the Foreign Secretary has been carrying out. We must also recognise that the Sri Lankan Government are incredibly sensitive and touchy about what they believe is white, colonial interference in their internal affairs. For example, the appointment of the right hon. Member for Kilmarnock and Loudoun (Des Browne) as a special envoy was effectively negated by them. In addition, they have refused permission for the Swedish Foreign Minister, Carl Bildt, to enter Sri Lanka, for reasons that seem very much based on interference—in other words, the Sri Lankan Government believe that they are defending their right.

We all believe that that is stupid and nugatory, but I suspect that we will have a very limited window of opportunity to bring real pressure to bear on the Sri Lankan Government after they have achieved their so-called military victory. That is because—this is my final point—the pressure will be off them then, with the international media moving on to some other horror story elsewhere in the world. The British Tamil community, quite rightly, will expect more of us, but it is at that point that the British Government will really have to engage with the Sri Lankan Government.

Ironically, I think that the Sri Lankan Government will be at their weakest then. In wishing to achieve a military victory they have ignored all the negative aspects, such as the fact that they are in serious financial difficulties, and that may be what allows us to exert some pressure.

Mr. Clifton-Brown: My hon. Friend he is making a very prescient and powerful speech. Does he agree that, in the similar conflicts that took place in South Africa and Rwanda, one of the important parts of the peace process was the establishment of some form of truth and reconciliation committee? That worked very well in South Africa, and also in Rwanda, where the Gacaca court system was used for that purpose. The result has been that people caught up in the conflict have been brought back into the democratic, peaceful process.

So the country bumpkin thinks that the Srilankan government's attempt at trying to protect it's citizens are "Stupid & nugetory"!!!

The thing is, they turn up to claim their allowances and utter some rubbish hoping no-one is going to notice (or find out) about it. Certainly not bunch of Srilankans (other than fake genocide brigade here)

I think it is our duty to let this gentleman know that "It's not the Srilankan governments PR" but we take the time to let these morons know how we feel about their condescending attitudes towards Srilanka, BECASUE WE CARE.

And, we may not stink up streets of London or go on fake hunger strikes, but we vote too.

THIS is the opportune TIME to do this when we have incontrovertible EVIDENCE against these JOKERS & CLOWNS to prosecute them.

That should send a CHILL DOWN THE SPINES of any pro-LTTE INDIANS who are contemplating crimes against SRI LANKA, and DISSUADE them from such activities in the future.

if someone thinks he is going to use a method that is known to us (such as use suicide boats punch through the cordon, etc), where LTTE strength is squared off against GOSL and to accomplish the task by pure strength... we are mistaken, he would go for a discrete method that is not thought off or thought to be impossible... what ever method he chooses it will have backup plans 1 /2 /3 or may be even 5/6/7 ..with punching a hole through the navy ??? there is no such space for backup plans...

i would not be surprised if he treks alone the ground and makes off from mannar in a boat...

[ It is time we get rid of these conniving, double-crossing MF’ing bastardly western countries out of our soil. Give them 24 hrs to get out and stay out. ]

Brother, that sounds good, but would be disastrous if we follow through.

Who would we sell our products to after we have kicked them out and severed relations? What will happen to our garments industry and the millions whose livelihoods depend upon it? It is not countries like China that buy those garments; in fact there are millions of garment workers in China who would be glad to takeover our orders. The western countries with high-local-labor costs buy these products, not the friendly countries with teeming millions of poorly paid workers like ours in Asia.

So, we have to keep our tempers in check, and act wisely. Small busybodies like NORWAY who are among our major enemies supporting the LTTE, we should kick out, as you say. But, other countries who are our major trading partners, we have to deal with greater wisdom and finesse, like the GOSL is already doing, even if they are not giving us large anmounts of AID. In the short term, aid is important, but in the long term trading relations are much more important.

Different countries in the world play different roles at different times with respect to our national needs and national security. Some help us militarily, others politically on the global stage, others buy our goods, others sell us the goods we need, other provide us technical assistance, others allow us to use their transportation systems and financial srrvices, and employ our expatriate works, and so on.

No one country satisfies all of our needs, nor the same needs at all times. We have to understand those roles as they change with time, and interact with them accordingly: the SAFETY of OUR COUNTRY and OUR PEOPLE depends upon it.

Kumar David and Vickrama Bahu

Kumar David who started as engineering lecturer, was in my opinion, a complete failure in that profession. Having obtained a first class in engineering he went on to do a PhD and came back to the engineering faculty when I was a 2nd year student there. He was a an idol that we looked up to those days. But with time I changed my mind.

His lectures were almost useless. I remember him writing hundreds of generation figures taken from the reports of the then Department of Government Electrical Undertakings (now CEB) on the black board during his lectures, which we copied diligently on to our notebooks. To this day I cannot think what the purpose of all that was.

He never gave us any good idea of the basic concepts of engineering. Later I realized that this was because he did not have any good idea about these himself. He was arrogant and always treated lesser mortals like us, who were not first class or PhD stuff, with haughtiness, disdain and contempt. However, on one or two occasions I managed to prove him wrong in certain engineering problems and made him eat his own words.

The problem with such engineering whiz kids is that they do not have any practical experience in the field. They are so bright that they go on straight to do PhDs and then become lecturers. Engineering education has suffered a lot because of this phenomenon. Despite the education, they are completely unfit to teach engineering.

Another case like this is Vickramabahu Karunaratne. Every student he taught knows how useless his maths lectures were.

Both of them seem to be traitors to Sri Lanka. Being a Tamil, we can understand Kumar David being one. But I find Vickramabahu Karunaratne, a product of Ananda College (which has produced many great patriots like Sarath Fonseka and Gotabya) being a traitor beyond comprehension.

I am glad that both have taken to politics, where I am sure they are doing better because both of them have a knack for bamboozling people.

Matara Peramuna said...

Sam,
His clan is Mervia's clan too, so Mervia can neutralize that. Well his father did some work like Matara Bridge, Pipe borne water etc. but he was popular because of the party (SLFP) & lost that popularity when he crossed over. It is very very remote for him to get elected from Matara.

I think it is 55 & 58(not 53). It has started early morning.

May the Triple GEM Bless our Troops.

Sam Perera said...

MP,

It gives me goose bumps when we talk about Mervia. We need a more respected man than Mervia to balance it out. Even if Mervia is successful in neutralizing relatives, he has more negatives from many other aspects. I hope that we can get somebody more respected for the task.

Sam Perera said...

MP,

I have one of my folks serving 53 and recovering from injuries in Muhummalai. His battle field accounts are hair-raising.

Matara Peramuna said...

Sara,

Kumar David is a looser both in his profession & also his family life. He called himself a JVPier, but really a Senior LTTE operative. His contract with the University of Zimbabwe (Senior Lecturer in EE)was not renewed for reasons only known to him and the University authorities. But some say that he has left Zimbabwe to protect his wife. He was an active LTTER there. He became the LTTE mouthpiece when he went to Hong Kong.

Matara Peramuna said...

Sam,

We will use ape Mervia to neutralize the clan, but not to contest against him.

Sam Perera said...

MP,

"not to contest against him"

Got it and relieved. I have to be honest with you. My sole hope is to take all the traitors out of politics. I am a floating vote but case by case basis. I will pray for our boys. Talk to you later.

I've seen the Brig Udaya Nanayakkara's response to Al jaseera. Not very impressive.

The plain truth is and which should be elaborated is that if there are civilian casualties in this area due to air strikes or shelling the balance is tipped towards the LTTE. This can be used for their advantage. We need to question the media. Why should the world believe GOSL? The plain answer is if we shell this area or conduct air strikes, who will be at an advantage? The GOSL is winning which is inevitable. So why jeopotise the winning streak.

The the next point is the surroung area does not show any signs of a high impact explosion. No shrapnel damage to other structures or trees. The equipment is the hospital are upright. SRI LANKA MUST CAPTURE NFZ NOW !

US, UK, France to seek UNSC debate on LankaP. K. Balachandran
May 02, 2009

[ The United States, Britain and France are to seek a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) debate on the worsening humanitarian situation in Sri Lanka, where government troops are poised to make a final assault on the Tamil Tiger rebels who had taken shelter in the “No Fire Zone”, using as a shield, the tens of thousands of Tamil civilians congregated there.

This was indicated by the British Foreign Secretary, David Miliband, in an interview to the BBC on Thursday.

So far, the UNSC has only had informal briefings on the Sri Lankan situation, thanks to the heavy lobbying by Colombo and the support it got from Russia and China. Miliband said the Sri Lankan crisis should be on the UN Security Council agenda because the on-going war there had regional and wider ramifications. He said that he would discuss the matter with the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in New York on May 11.

The UK, France and the US were pushing for it, he added. All three countries are permanent members of the council, with a veto.

The US has clearly veered towards the Tamils, even the LTTE. After having proposed the grant of safe passage to the LTTE leaders as a way of ending the conflict, the White House issued a statement on April 24, which was tilted in favour of the Tamils and the LTTE. The final paragraph of the statement even warned of the establishment of an independent state of Tamil Eelam.

“It would compound the current tragedy, if the military end of the conflict only breeds further enmity and ends hopes for reconciliation and a unified Sri Lanka in the future,” the statement had said. When the British Foreign Secretary and the French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner visited the island nation earlier this week, they had sought for the UN agencies humanitarian access to the No Fire Zone, which had become the conflict zone with the LTTE cadre mingling with about 60,000 to 100,000 trapped Tamil civilians. But the Anglo- French request was flatly rejected.

Sir John Holmes, the UN Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs, said that the Lankan Government had assured Vijay Nambiar, the UN Secretary General’s Chief of Staff, that UN representatives would be allowed into the No Fire Zone, but this assurance was not kept. ]

I am no expert in any military matters really, but what Black Panther saying occurred to me too (its common sense). The area looked like it’s been that way for ages, not some place that got hit twice today, at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. ,as the LTTE Thalathel paraya (or what ever his name) said on Al Jazeera.

My first thought was “Why don’t SLGO get these hounds to sign a “liability waver” to say that they will not hold SLG responsible for any injury/death/trauma caused during their coverage of the area, and let them all go in if they want to.

Despite the bravado of Al Jazeera front man who declared on TV, “We can look after ourselves, we been in Iraq/Afganistan/Gaza”, unge passa patthe wedi ekak dekak vaddunahama, anda anda duwai.

Or, Maduruwo kanna gathhama kasa kasa andai.

If they get taken hostages by LTTE, then these same media organisations who are questioning SL government’s treatment towards terrorists will change their tune in no time.

SL forces can even go in on a daring “international hostage rescue” operation like Mumbai style and, we know the result of that operation.

But, I know that’s irrational (well, I am outraged, so rationality has taken leave) and not a sensible idea.

We’ve been there before over and over again, why!! oh why are we not prepared for these kinds of “verbal insurgencies”?

Our boys in the forces have done the hard bit, they made supreme sacrifices.

This kind of handling of media does not do justice to the results achieved by our extremely professional defence forces.

Let our armed forces do what they do best, the spokesperson doesn’t necessarily have to be a serving member of the forces. Government should hire a top PR agency to handle these kinds of things, or have a dedicated “professional” who is camera friendly/media savyey to handle this line of questioning by increasingly frustrated international media (who feel that they are missing out on a slice of action therefore losing money that could be earned for them)

It will be money well invested . These days, media perception matters.

SL, china's israel???

a good analysis in lankaguardian. but china is the ONLY superpower with discretion. and they have used it many times, SL is no exception.

SL should jump at any opportunity to be part of chinese defence plans.

1. china is world's number 2 in investments in conventional weapons.

2. SL would be a fantastic platform to launch attacks in the arabian sea. that will save china trillions.

3. next year india is getting its first aircraft carrier from russia. china MUST eclipse this. there is no better place than SL to do that.

4. the last thing a resident foreign military would want is a pro-tamil madu regional govt in parts of SL. that is an added incentive for SL to stop all forms of racial federalism, etc.

5. also china need a platform to reach the very important middle east region from a SAFE place. (safe from middle east terrorists). SL is the ONLY place so far.

6. when forming defence ties, the general popular perception of the population is VERY important. SL is ideal in that sense. ppl of SL have DEEP respect for china. they can't find a better friend.

7. japan has been our BIGGEST lender. i'm 100% sure japan knew this coming and they wanted to preempt it. it may also shed some light why akashi has such a arseache about SL. in 2003 japan promised to give $4 billion if we 'solved' the problem with the LTTE.

The Day Mother Lanka will stay still….not much longer.
::What should we do if Prabha captured alive?

The destructive war which’d killed more than 25000 SL heroes from 1983 is going to over. After many decades we are going to feel the pleasure of true freedom.
Even at the time you read this our heroes are fighting against the cruel LTTE, who’d destroyed the hopes and lives of innocent Tamil people giving virtual reality of Tamil Elam to their brains. It no longer exists. Prabhakaran, the leader of the LTTE terrorist group had intention only to create rational segregation. It was his dream which didn’t came true, because of the commitment we’d with Tamil people from the early years.
They’d been brain washed by the selfish racist basterd.
Eventually they’ve realized that their dream of Elam is no longer exist and Prabha only care about his personnel comfort. They came to the safe hands of the SL forces.

Truly SL forces doing great humanitarian mission in order to release the innocent people from LTTE and make them feel their true freedom.
Mean time we can see the foreign countries trying to involve in this in order to release Prabha. The LTTE supporters (rather terrorist members) living in foreign countries like UK and US are annoyed and been aggressive, removing their masks they’d been wearing to pretend that they are not Tigers (Tiger is the symbol of LTTE terrorist group.) having two legs. They are now trying to trouble Sinhalese people living there, who was their fellows earlier.
But why they doing this?
We all are one nation. We all have same blood running in our veins. We all breathe same air. We all are children of our mother Lanka. Why they can’t see the way our troops treating their fellows, their relatives, who’d been hurt and whose family members’d been killed by the cruel LTTE.
I’ve never seen such a humanitarian mission in the history of world war. The day is not much longer, the day our true heroes capture Prabha dead or alive. But he may survive some where out from SL, ran away in the fear of death. But his death is near where ever he lives, because he cause death to thousands of innocent Tamil people giving them bad impression about Sinhala people and about Sri Lanka. He’d given*synide to the pure hands of innocent Tamil students instead of giving books.
How many Tamil graduates’d been passed out from Jaffna University before 1983?
But instead of stethoscope or pen Prabha’d given weapons to their arms. How much harm he’d done to the Tamil nation and mother Lanka?
So what shall we do to him incase if he captured alive?

Should we kill him right after captured?
Should we arrest him and keep imprisoned till death?
Or make him suffer until death?
Or hang him in front of general public?

TALK TAMIL PEOPLE …………..
ONLY YOU SHOULD ANSWER…………………

/Hattrem (Norwegian Ambassador) also said the LTTE’s bargaining power was not relevant in the present context, implying that the status quo would change with the complete elimination of the LTTE.
“I don’t think it is helpful to talk about the LTTE’s bargaining power in this context. A political solution for Sri Lanka that addresses the grievances of the minorities can only be found by the Sri Lankan people. It is the Sri Lankan people that must decide what needs to be done and what will constitute a workable permanent solution to the conflict. One primary role for the state is to safeguard equal rights for all its citizens. If I were asked to give advice, I would recommend the government to develop the state in a way where all groups – the majority and the minorities – feel that the state belongs to them and that they are fairly treated,” Hattrem said./

Refer: http://www.nation.lk/2009/05/03/news21.html

Well. Thanks no thanks.

Changing stripes may be a ploy. Norway, failing all other options in assisting LTTE, now wants to get in to "victim industry" and instigate IDP's for next round and keep an eye on the LTTE infiltrators not being taken away by the white vans.

Be vigilant Sri lanka and just ask them to f**k-off.

We need an army spokesmen fluent in all three language with fast thinking logical thinking...

Dear sirs,

Its utterly disgusting the way your effort to white wash a terrorsti organisation and the stupidests questions asked by this particular presenter. First of all he wants to visit the conflict zone syaing that journalists can take care of themselves. Why dont you just teach all your survival techniques to those poor civilians trapped in the conflict zone. There are thousand of civilians who escaped from the LTTE areas telling stories about how they were stopped from leaving, how they were shot at, how hundreds were killed, even how sucide bombers came with the escaping civilians and blew themselves up. So this very smart presenter thinks that he can just walk into the conflict zone and start providing the much needed verifications to all those stupud stories.. thats the least problem we have in sri lanka.. and then he goes on talking about the track record of the government saying there are two stories coming from two sides and saying which one they are supposed to believe ..well let me give you are very simple soulition.. try to identify the terrorsit group banned worlwide, using childres as young as 10 years as soldier, using pregnant mothers as suicide bombers, who blew up places of worships, and shoot at there own people who try to escape for safety.. I cant belive the low level your channel as put itself into, which used to be popular for responsible media coverage.. how pathetic is for this presenter to compare a government and a bannded terrorsist organisation.. bloody disgusting... why doesn't he talk about the track record of the LTTE.. and why don't you people give coverage to the stories of all those child soldiers recently surrendered, civilians escaped, or the UAV footages clearly showing LTTE firing at civilians and using artillery guns and battle tanks inside the no-fire zone.. your reporting responsibilities are bloody disgusting..

Ananda-USA,

Tide is changing. Decision to walk away from the conventional warfare before concluding proceedings is backfiring on GoSL.

Better not to give any promises which can not be kept. Otherwise IC and UN will make us accountable.

As mentioned couple of days ago, we must take the risk and finish this off. I was appalled by the fact that with UAV intelligence we were not liquidating their war assets. This “zero civilian policy” (IC is not giving a rat’s ass any way) must give a rest now and make international community responsible for strengthening the moral of a ruthless terrorist group not to give in. So it is amply clear that LTTE’s human shield strategy is working and knows that IC has now endorsed it. However, before doing that we must get an understanding with India, Russia and China. It is an irony that the reason why we are in this shit is because our pro USA alignment in late 70’s. As we all know - receiving “parippu” diplomacy from India - when JRJ turned to his pay master USA for help he was asked to talk to India.

Yet again history repeats. I never trusted USA in my whole life as they done this many a times to weak voiceless countries.

We must reject all assistance from west and say we will manage without. That is what India did when the West lined up to get in to India - in the name of victims of Tsunami. We must take a lesson out of it.

There are unconfirmed reports that Sri Lankan Government plans to massacre 1,00,000 civilians trapped in 8km long safe zone in Mu'l'li-vaaykkaal under the garb of war on LTTE.

With sustained disinformation campaign and coercion, they have been able to fill in over 1,00,000 people in a very small area.

Sri Lankan Army has surrounded the area on sides and will be able to prevent anyone from escaping.

Main strategy of the ruling Singhalese Government in this war has been to cause maximum causalities to ethnic Tamil population.

Mu'l'li-vaaykkaal is the area which is close to LTTE's base.

As a part of a well-planned strategy, it destroyed the only hospital in that area killing 64, including many doctors, and injuring 87. ICU and live-saving equipment in the hospital was completely destroyed.

Question for the management here at DW:

Why are you not allowing my last post to be published?

I see that clear LTTE supporters like Upal and SL Asshole are free to offer their opinions but someone like myself who is vehemently opposed to the LTTE is not?

I would appreciate an answer if you would be so kind. Being banned from Puligal is something I expected from the likes of them but certainly not here.

I know that you guys hate VP. But he has his uses too. For example, if you are teaching geometry, VP is the best example one can give for a cylinder. Cut his head at the neck and the two arms and what remains is a perfect cylinder.

Secondly, he cleaned up our motherland of all the scum and vermin who now live in the West. That is what I call GROBR (good riddance of bad rubbish) although one feels sorry for all those good people in the West.

Thirdly, if you want to demonstrate to a class of forensic students how a body would look like when fished out of a river after being submerged for a couple of weeks, just show them a picture of VP.

Just be thankful to him for the way he finished off the cream of the Tamil society so that they cannot compete with us for for a couple of generations more. What is remaining are idiots like – u no hoo.

UN/Al Jazeera Crater Pictures

Analysis of the crater images show that they are very similar to the impact craters found on the moon and on Planet Mars. These were created when meteorites impacted the surface. The energy of the collision vaporizes the impacting body and the surface around the area and thus a crater is formed.

Thinking on these lines, I have concluded that some high velocity projectiles have impacted the surface of the NFZ. The question is what are these projectiles? On closer examination it was found that certain markings in the crater have been formed by a high velocity gas jet, which simultaneously impacted the point.

Based on this evidence, it is not difficult to solve the puzzle. These were created by someone squatting on the ground and defecating. The gas jet theory thus fits in nicely in to the picture.

The creature has to be a very fat, very squat and very scared person who resembles a fat pig in shape. In order to generate the required volume of gas, he must have also eaten a lot of mutton curry and string hoppers.

It is suspected that several civilians may have died due to the noise and by inhaling the stinking brew of poisonous gas. Ultimate responsibility must be born the SLA for making the fat pig so scared.

As most of you Totally Smart DiASSporeans know, the Tamil race has been endangered by the GENOCIDE™ of the SriLankan army. This is not new - as we have constantly told you since the day you were born in England / Australia / Canada and other places with toilets.

You know all this is true because although you have not been to Sri Lanka ever, you know the LTTE are the most truthful people in the world - even more truthful than the Queen, the Pope or the Dalai Lama.

However what is breaking news is the new tactic that the Sri Lankan army has been using - GENOCIDE BY PROXY™. Instead of doing the dirty work themselves they are now forcing us to kill our own SHRAPNEL SPONGES ™. They are achieving this by attacking us while we are hiding behind said SHRAPNEL SPONGES. The loud noise that their GENOCIDAL and HOMOPHOBIC weapons make are scaring our brave shrapnel sponge and making them run towards the Sri Lankan GENOCIDERS in an orderly fashion. Little did they realize that they would be IDP GENOCIDED™ if they went towards the army.

For the greater good of all Tamils the world over we had to shoot a few of these SHRAPNEL SPONGES - even though this means there are a few less to protect Thalaivar (see how kind he is!). This GENOCIDE BY PROXY ™ is the latest WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION™ that the Sri Lankan Army has used. We only told you all this so that you understand what you see from those spy planes. Those spy planes by the way have been totally shot down by our air force which is still 105% operational. We also had to sacrifice a few of our baby soldiers (even though they look so cute) amongst the fleeing confused SHRAPNEL SPONGES, once again for their greater good. A few of these SPONGES achieved Eelam straight away which is a bonus for them!

Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan army has been SHELLING EVERYONE INDISCRIMINATELY® as has been confirmed by our doctor, who has treated 30,000,052 injured civilians yesterday. Being a doctor, he is 1001% honest and is certainly not a LTTE lackey. To prove this we took a picture of Dr Fullofpunnakum but the Sri Lankan army performed CAMERA GENOCIDE using a heat seeking NUCLEAR BOMB.

So remember all you good DiASSporeans to inform your white masters of the NEW GENOCIDE that is occurring in Eelam. Despite this we are winning and soon we will take over the whole of Sri Lanka. Hee Haw!

1. What is the foulest smell on earth? The fart of a fat pig who has eaten a meal of mutton and indiappa and with thala thel on his skin.

2. Why did Tamil diaspora become diaspora? They ran away because they could not bear the smell of the fat pig.

3. Why do Tamils become suicide bombers? They loose the will to live when exposed to the smell of the fat pig.

4. Why does Praba have a last meal with siucide bombers before their mission? Because he cannot have it after the mission silly. (This is a stupid question).

5. Why does he select mutton and indiappam for the last meal? Because pigs don’t eat pork.

6. If pigs don’t eat pork why do pigs kill other pigs? Because pigs cannot bear the smell of the other pigs.

7. Why were there 200,000 civilians in the NFZ when the government count was only 50,000? Each civilian is equal to 4 persons (1)simple civilian, (2)combat volunteer, (3) conscripted combatant or (4) suicide bomber. 4 X 50,000 = 200,000.

8. Why is the IC so keen on saving the fat pig? Because they want to feed him to the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay. Normal pork did not work. Rotten pork may.

9. What is the latest invention of the Tiger cyber experts? Sending smell via internet. Even the pictures of Praba stink.

10. Why did so many civilians die during SLA operations? Hard Core Combatants, Forcibly recruited combatants, civil defense guys, suicide bombers all metamorphose in to civilians on death.

11. How big is Tamil Eelam? 5 pee X 4 pee (pee being the distance a pig can pee).

12. Why shouldn’t we kill pigs? Because pigs kill other pigs and keeping them alive means more pigs killed.

It seems LTTE has earth bunds for every 200 meters. And they make the terrain open by cutting the trees if any. And terras fire using every thing they have - paddle gun, tanks, motars, arti, snipers etc. SLA don't use arti, MBRL and CAS. So it seems SLA need around a week to clear one earth bund. So as there are round 5 km to clear LTTE will give us around 25 earth bunds and SLA need roughly 6 months.

Also, its said LTTE has around 300 suicide bombers. if one suicide bomber kills 10 SLA and injures 20 SLA, 300 suicide cadres can remover 9000 troops (almost 2 divisions).

Further, if there are around 165,000 civilians as per LTTE then there are a lot who has been taken hostage. But if the number is indeed 10,000 as per GSL then its unlikely this to be a hostage case rather they are die hard LTTE maaveer members and stay their willingly as a human shield to save VP or whoever their leader.

BTW, it seems VP is there. His presence is to keep the moral up and retain the human shield so that they can drag this as long as they can. Six month period is good for genocide protests, UN actions, IC pushes, TN jokers dramas and Indian influences after a possible change in center. LTTE like to sign a CFA and end the war as equal parties and carry on peelaam project. Six months is good for VP to escape to west/ India via sea or to jungles in Mullative.

As Mahen, SF@LPN says I don't think any thing really big happening there or news censoring is there. Simply nothing big is happening. And except Daya Master no big fish is with GSL. (In fact, even Daya master is seems to be some old guy - not a big guy in LTTE.) If any such big fish is captured GSL will go to the market with news as they did with Daya master. SO no poddu no any other big one is with GSL.

I think GSL should give the military a free hand to clear the remaining area, kill or capture LTTE leaders and rescue the civilians (irrespective they stay there willingly or by force) and give them time they need as well. Military should search and kill any infiltrated terras in other areas and search for burried weapons. SLAF must monitor the whole NFZ 24/7. SLN should protect the whole coast line but it seems they are anable to protect even that 5 km coast line (as one boat escaped to south India.)

DiASSpora will probably increase the intensity of their dramas and Sri Lankans abroad need to counter their propaganda continuously. DiASSpora has (collected) money, time (many are without jobs) and more importantly they are without other options. Since their military project for peelaam is dusted they will obviously put their maximum effort in political and propaganda fronts.

Two biggest problems our guys face are the booby traps and land mines. Clearing them has been difficult owing to sniper fire from the enemy.

Therefore, in addition to the snipers, SL Army should uses HMGs (12.7MM to 30MM) and night vision/thermal imaging to take out hiding terras.

We simply need to increase concentration of HMGs in the field.

It is also necessary to carefully take out any of the major threats within the NFZ using air attacks i.e. LTTE boats, Artillery guns etc with minimum civilian casualties.

The best air-attack strategy is to use one or two sound and smoke only warning bombs on the target and attack the target after about 3 min from the initial warning. It will give enough time for civilians to clear the site.

We have to think that the life of a soldier is million times worth than a terrorist.

Thanks for the video clip showing these terrorists wearing civilian cloths operating an armoured vehicle fully armed proving once again their cowardly nature hiding behind the civilians whom I think is part of their terrorist structure which seems to be having the desired effect on the stupid, gullible international Community.GOSL should have stressed the fact to these ic that the entrapped civilians are part of their fighting formation which would be a fair game for all out offensive just as Dresden was bombed during WW2.Vanni is parsley populated and the genuine civilians had sufficient opportunity to escape the clutches of the tigers months ago.
SL is again repeating the same foolish thing by accepting Dayamaster to the political arena not forgetting the recent death anniversary of Premadasa whose life was taken away by a similar man whom he trusted. So quick and so foolish to give him a party’s blue shirt for which we had to pay for membership for decades. That guy should be in walikada and all his singing could just a devious set up to infiltrate upper echelons of our power structure. We were sad and horrified to see Karuna in the same flat form with other party leaders and who else next? Daya Master, George Master perhaps VP himself? History seems to be repeating it self and at this rate in another 50 years our next generation will look for another O’Doyley to broker another Kandyan convention save our hides? I doubt anyone will help us in future as the 70 million TN people and whole of India does matter to any one outside than the 16 million Sinhalese also there’s 5 Billion barrels in the Mannar basin to be reckon with.So they have been warned!

over 2,000 sla soldiers killed, after sla/sln amphibous assault was targetted by sea tigers 3 km off mulaithivu coast.

sla was planning an amphibious assault on the nfz, using two troop carriers, carrying around 1,000 troops each. both were suddenly hit by explosion and within minutes started sinking. sln dvoras tried to provide cover and two of these were sunk by black tiger attack boats.

the 2,000 troops drowned to death in mid sea, with sln being unable to bring in reinforcements. these sla's were the remains of the elite special forces units.

having been badly mauled, the sla has to induct troops from colombo to do the final assault. all other division including the 53 are out of commision.

in response to this dire military and economical situation, maha sangha theros urged rajapakse hold a 24 hour pirith to ward over curses accumulated on his regime.

[ but rather all he has to do is to come towards the southern side .. in order to do this he can use his sub which would not have to go for deep seas but rather hug the coast line and come towards yala or wherever and leisurely take a trip abroad from their..may be Italy or Australia!!! in the form of boat ppl]

That is why I said in my recent post on the ESCAPE SCENARIO by FLOTILLA I said that could be a RED HERRING DIVERSION to the real means adopted.

But, it may not be, because VP has to FIRST GET PAST the CORDON around the small NFZ, and that is the first BARRIER to his escape.

The FLAW with the submarine theory is that ALL THE SUBS they have will need a deep channel with at least 15 feet of water. So, they will find it impossible to start from the Nanthi Kadal lagoon and proceed to the sea...there is no such DEEP channel connecting the lagoon and the Sea.

The second option is to launch from the beach, first on a trailer, then proceed to deeper water lashed to two boats on either side, until the water is at least 10p feet deep, then motor on the surface to 15-20 foot depth when it can submerge. This is a possible strategy that will allow the SUB to get past the SLN boats of the RABS/SBS squadrons patrooliing bettween 5 - 10 km off shore. All of this will have to be done at NIGHT to remain unobserved by UAVs.

The next problem with the SUB option, is that the RANGE of this sub, and the FUEL it can carry is VERY LIMITED. So, some provision for either for offloading the passengers or delivering the FUEL for a longer voyage at some RENDEZVOUS must be devised.

As you said, the passengers can be OFFLOADED at some point along the COAST of Sri Lanka after which they use some other means, like an open boat with "regugees" to escape, or be picked up by a SEA PLANE from INDIA or elsewhere, or a SHIP at some point in the OCEAN.

If I were VP, I would definitely pick the SEA PLANE option. These planes can be easily HIRED or BOUGHT, for example in Australia and New Zealand. Some land on their bellies in the Sea, others have twin floats attached to the wheel undercarriage for landing on water. In both cases, the ocean climate must be mild and the waves snmall.

On the other hand, FUEL can be delivered by using a remote controlled or manned FUEL TANKER boat that breaks through the CORDON around the NFZ, or a SEA PLANE or SHIP. But, it is VERY UNLIKELY that the SUB itself will be used to proceed all the way to the DESTINATION; it is more likely to be abandoned as soon as the passengers are picked up.

On the other hand, a large surface boat that breaksthrough the CORDON is likely to be able to go all the way to the DESTINATION, provided it has sufficient fuel to do so. If several boats with full tanks breakthrough, the FUEL can be transferred between boats allowing at least ONE BOAT to reach the DESTINATION. The LTTE will have carefully analyzed and tested exactly how many engines (in multi -engine boats) and at what speed to travel at to milk out the greatest range.

My guess is that the DESTINATION will be either Tamil Nadu, or an LTTE base in the Andaman Islands off Phuket, Thailand. INDIA , of course, is much closer, but presents the problem of avoiding detection by the INDIAN radar and Sea patrols.

Once they LAND in India, they will CALL AHEAD for a CAR to Vaiko's house where they will be received with open arms by other umbilical cord brothers Karuna-NATHI, Thirumavalavan, Ramadoss and all other leaders of the Greater Dravidian Nation, and thousands of Sri Lankan LTTE cadres already planted in TN! VP will be housed, fed, pampered in style, and put in charge of the Final Struggle, not in Sri Lanka, but in India!

Everything will be rosy for about 6-months UNTIL he gets all of his ducks in a row and demands their children for use as cannon fodder in the "Greater Dravidian Nation War of Liberation" from the hated Aryans of the North. That will be their end of the Indian Tamil Leaders as they are PURGED ONE-BY-ONE, for there can be only ONE UNDISPUTED MAXIMUM THALAIVAR, only ONE SUN GOD in this world for all time!

Fortunately for us, the UNCONQUERABLE LANKA of OLD will have been resurrected again in SRI LANKA, and whatever skullduggery the Sun God initiates in INDIA, Sri Lanka will remain beyond his grasp, AS LONG AS WE REMAIN UNITED AND EVER VIGILANT!

Ananda-USA said...

NOLTTE=Peace,

Bro,

WE should announce a REVISED HEAVY WEAPONS policy for the NFZ, in view of the weapons deployed by the LTTE in the NFZ.

Instead of excluding all heavy wepons, we should exclude only INDIRECT INACCURATE HEAVY WEAPONS, such as indirect fire artilettry, indirect fire mortars, and non-guided missiles from aircraft.

We should allow DIRECT FIRE artillery (MBTs, APCs, RCLs), and air-to-ground missiles that are guided all the way to the intended targets.

In this way, we minimize civilian casualties, especially if the attacks are carried out on the basis of UAV and ground intelligence observations.

For a fee of a few million dollars nothing is impossible. In that 4.25 Sq KM they only need a straight road to land a 3 seater or even a 5 sweater says my friends. It will be clock work operation and that’s why these guys have the confidence to stay put this late against overwhelming odds. I don't think troops had life jackets because, thats how 1,000 were crammed into the troop carrier. otherwise they would needed to make two or more trips.

for the sake of our president's ego - to claim victory on may 1st, safety of the troops was left aside.

my news source is a brother in law who is a navy captain posted in trinco.

the situation was made much worse by the ill feelings between navy and army as you all know why...

even airforce didn't provide airsupport. politicos have kept the entire thing under wraps and our brave men have paid this dear price.

Isur..
If they have subs then how come the AF’s pilotless plane or the satellite hasn’t picked up?

the_boss,

don't try to cheat the people here.

don't try to hide the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers.

Who is this IsuruJ

He is anotehr undercover LTTP? Can someone check?

isurujosh said...

I suspect the subs are towed or stowed in secret locations. these lttps are not stupid enough to have it exposed. just like their air wing, they seem to use it during night time or evening time or during dawn.

/Is this true what UPUL is saying about 2000 drowned?/

This can be true but the only problem is "Upul" is saying.

/the fleet of attack submarines has been confirmed./

If LTTE has attack submarines they should have used them against jet liner. If SLN didn't try to land then these submrines are of no use. !!

/in both cases dvoras were lost mysteriously./

1. If this happened in two separate cases why SLN made the same mistake twice?

2. Still I don't see how 2 Dvoras can carry 2000 troops!!

Anyway nice to see the boss again.. with Upul.. so diasspora paty has started.. better have the fun before it becomes another 5000 SLA captured party..

Yes. LTTE has a fleet of aircraft carriers too. But, it is too in your dreams.
Fuck off thambi.

If there is a place to hide under it could be that old abandoned ship
that we could see.Perhaps this old rust bucket is still in their area? If so it should be sunk as the subs has to surface some time to recharge and may be doing so close to this cargo ship.

The boss,

You own nothing here and all what you will get is death. You are just nothing.

ninja mate,

the troops carrier were chinese made, recently gifted and bigger than our own 29 m built at colombo dockyard.

I really feel sad for all the brave soldiers who lost their lives in this terrible tragedy.

Your end started the moment Obama started his "Change".
US is changing side. When US does that, every country will follow.

I know you wont like it but, we will resurrect the land of our forefathers. Eelam will become reality."

Ha...waala..my filthy barrage worked

Moshe Dyan said...

u-fool,

its like TAMIL ELAM.

another wet dream.

SLN does NOT operate landing crafts of the size that can carry 1,000 troops!!

our yunan class crafts can carry a MAXIMUM of 400 troops. 2 of them would be MAXIMUM 800 troops!!! whether these are in an operable condition is dubious too.

colombo dockyard maufactured ones can only carry 200 troops.

stop talking BULLSHIT.

Why are we allowing Des Brown to come to SL? What ever we show, what ever we do, these guys would never say anything good about SL. They will go to U.K. and then publicise bad things about SL. So, why are we allowing these guys to come? We should only allow independent countries to come and visit SL. U.K., Canada, U.S, France have their own agenda.

IsuruJosh seems a tad bit too enthusiastic to make his point ... keeps repeating it at every opportunity (oh i feel sorry about ...bla bla) Juuuust a bit too many times, which makes me think he's a poser.

psychological suggestive behavior is something we should all be on guard to detect. Do not let these influence you.

Spearhead said...

Thusitha,
yeah, Idk either: how come Des Browne's visit is suddenly ok now?
I was thinking of the same thing, but i cannot find anything that makes it clear.
