The real Tamil Eelam as experienced by Tamils in LTTE areas

Pro-LTTE websites are running the LTTE's desperate propaganda campaign to the maximum. The most recent and blatant of lies was the so-called killing of 120 SLA and driving them back to a place some Tiger sites identified as 'Malayalapuram'. We received many emails and comments asking us about this so-called fight that took place west of Kilinochchi. These reports are completely false.

SLA lost 23 soldiers in the fight to capture a bund at Thirumurikandi. 12 bodies fell into the hands of the Tigers. 56 soldiers were injured. This was the most recent 'victory' the LTTE had scored in recent times. Despite this, they lost the bund and Thirumurikandi to the 57.

But the LTTE propaganda went into high gear. But the facts cannot be concealed for too long with lies. If 120 soldiers were killed the LTTE should have captured 30-40 bodies given the nature of the bund and terrain like in Muhamalai 2007-08. But they had pictures of only 10-12 soldiers.

LTTE even claimed reinforcements were brought from the East when in fact SLA platoons are being re-deployed to the East from other areas. In fact an entire Squadron of Commandos were sent to Trincomalee recently to counter LTTE insurgents and guerrillas.

A team of crack Commandos from this squadron recently attacked an LTTE hideout in the Kanjikudiaaru Jungle killing 5 LTTE cadres and injuring another 7. This hideout was 600m away from the STF camp in Kanjikudiaaru. The STF leadership had nothing to say about the incident as their incompetence was exposed yet again.

Meanwhile large numbers of civilians hiding inside jungles between LTTE areas and SLA forward operating areas has slowed the pace of the ongoing operations. 33 civilians, mostly youth, were discovered and returned to government areas today from northwest of Oddusudan.

The LTTE does not have enough manpower to search these jungles. The SLA too is encountering them in their operations. This has slowed their pace down and in mahy cases, limited the use of heavy firepower.

The youth who were discovered today were malnourished and had very bad bruises on their skin and also body odors from living inside the jungle for weeks. There, inside the Muthiyankaddu jungle for example, 500-600 civilians, mostly Tamil youth, are in hiding from the LTTE.

These civilians have escaped their homes and have fled from LTTE round-up operations to push them into IDP camps. These camps are now the LTTE's sole means of abducting and forcible recruiting men, women and children into its fighting units as SLA attacks claim the lives of 20-30 cadres a day from the organization.

As youths escape these settlements and camps, the Tigers have now started recruiting men and women in their forties. This is the state of Tamil Eelam today.

Our peelam psychoes don't seem to like this post.. They are clamouring about useless distractioins....

1. peelamist have surrounded Nochchikuda on the 27th of Nov., and are waiting to demolish the armed forces there.... but they are VERY concerned about civilian casualties, that they are taking it very slow...

2. The great peelam war IV, that was supposed to raise peelam sky high into the heavens is also within kissing distance from Colombo... the army is shaking with fright, and MR is hiding in a bunker...

3. Vezapillai has a small set-back in re-taking the 'lost' territory: he killed many of his boys, that there is nobody to reproduce any peelamists... this is genocide at its best, and the so-called savior of the tamils himself is doing it... and our self-proclaimed "intelligent diasspora" does not have the foresight to see this.

...this is what happens when suicidal mania is instilled into the heads of peelam losers like peter: they lose the ablilty to think rationally, and glorify themselves as "peelam liberators", to help cope with their inferiority complexes...

What losers.... Do we really have to bother about these sickos?

Sri Lankan consumers are spending more money to purchase petrol from the region

Sri Lankan consumers are spending more money to purchase petrol from the SouthEast Region was published in a media newspaper.
A litre of Octan petrol was reduced by 35 rupees during the last two months by the tMahinda Rajapakse but comparing with other countries, our price is more.

Last week, the price of a liter of petrol was reduced by 20 rupees, hence a liter of petrol is sold in Sri Lanka for 122 rupees. But neighboring countries like Pakistan, a liter of petrol is sold at rupees 80, India rupees 100, Bhutan 95 rupees and Bangaladesh its sold at 130 rupees.

Hence comparing with the larger countries in the region, Sri Lankan fuel charges are sold with much higher rates due to improper administration and without adopting fixed rates.

S&P cuts SL rating on fiscal concerns from B+ to B

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services (S&P) lowered Sri Lanka's sovereign rating by one notch to B from B-plus, citing the country’s declining foreign currency reserves and high fiscal deficit. The new rating for the island nation is five notches below S&P's investment grade of BBB, analysts said. S&P said the rating outlook is stable. 'The downgrade reflects... Sri Lanka's deteriorating external liquidity position and the absence of any material progress at fiscal consolidation...increased the risk to macroeconomic stability and external finances,' said S&P credit analyst Agost Benard in a statement.

S&P also lowered the island nation's foreign currency debt rating by one notch to B from B-plus and local currency debt rating also by a notch to B-plus from BB-minus.

The agency also downgraded the Transfer and Convertibility Assessment on Sri Lanka to B-plus from BB-minus, which rating agency officials said is a measure of access to foreign exchange by the S&P expects the reserves to be around $900 million by end-2008 from end-October's $2.37 billion due to low net capital inflows resulting from withdrawals of short-term portfolio capital and the government's reduced access to external borrowing.

It said the Sri Lankan central bank's repeated intervention has accounted for around 30 percent of the fall in reserves, to a level that covers about two months of imports.

'Sri Lanka risks further erosion of its foreign reserves by maintaining an informal currency peg that is at odds with the deteriorating external fundamentals,' S&P said.

Sri Lanka's fiscal deficit of 7.2 percent is three times higher than the median level for a B sovereign rating category and without a more robust fiscal consolidation effort, its debt and interest burdens will remain onerous, S&P said.

Benard said finding external borrowing is likely to remain constrained, given the elevated global risk aversion and tight liquidity. Analysts said, the downgrade will impact on borrowings. 'The risk profile of government borrowing will increase and the cost of external borrowing will be higher in future,' said Dhanushka Samarasinghe, head of research at Asia Securities.

The IMF last month urged the government to trim reliance on short-term foreign debt amid the global credit crunch and said the Central Bank's protection of the rupee could create the risk of attracting short-term speculation and volatility.

The Central Bank has already conceded that protecting the Rupee, plus other factors, could result in a Balance of Payments deficit at the end of the year.

The rating agency said Sri Lanka's rating could be raised if fiscal revenue and balance outcomes and debt ratios improve materially and sustainably, or if there is fundamental reversal of eroding external liquidity. Fitch, which is Sri Lanka's only other rating agency, lowered the $32 billion economy by a notch to B-minus in April.

Vaiko urges Recognition of Free Tamil Eelam

The Marumalarchi DMK (MDMK) General Secretary Vaiko Gopalsamy took part in a rally organized by the MDMK in Northern Channai and urges the recognition of the free Independent Tamil Eelam as a solution for the past sixty years of protracted conflict and genocidal war against Tamils in Sri Lanka by the Singhalese lead successive governments.

Vaiko also furious and outraged over the Sri Lankan Army Chief Lt Gen Sarath Fonseka’s comment of of ‘derogatory’ tongue-lashing over the Tamil Nadu political leaders are corrupt and "Political Jokers' and they are on the pay role of the LTTE, demanded unconditional apology from the Army chief from Sri Lanka and his President Rajapaksa.

The Army Chief also accused both Vaiko and Pazha. Nedumaran, the leader of Tamilar Thesiya Iyakkam are urging the Cease Fire Agreement because their income will dries up from the LTTE if the war over the LTTE won by the Sri Lankan government forces.

Eelam Tamils are dying every day, even the schools going Tamil children are not spared of their lives by the chauvinist Singhalese regime in Colombo he said. Sri Lanka is totally disregards the International law of ‘war crimes against humanity’ carrying out daily land, sea and air bombing and shelling on 327,000 internally displaced people including 40,000 children in Vanni, many who spoke at the agitation said.

Many parties in Tamil Nadu with the support of TN masses are brewing with anger over the army chief’s tongue-lashing and calling the Tamil Nadu political leaders as 'corrupt political jokers' are planning many protests, rallies, and famine protests in Tamil Nadu wide in coming days along with their relentless supports for Eelam Tamils.

Heavy shell attack by the government forces on the Mullaitivu government hospital on Monday, damages two wards in the Hospital, says medical officials in rebel held Vanni.

Medical Officer (MO) at Mullaitivu hospital, Dr. S Shanmugarajah said that resident patients were removed from the hospital as a precautionary measure. Patients were transferred to Pudukudiyiruppu hospital and staffs have also left due to security reasons, he further said.

The few hospitals in the rebel held Vanni were overloaded with inpatients and 800 to 1200 outpatients were seeking medical help on a daily basis, medical sources further said. Patients are lying on the floors and all the corridors of the few remaining hospital, they said.

Many new IDPs had moved into the area between Pu'liyampokka'nai and Visuvamadu in Puthukkudiyiruppu in the recent weeks. Acute shortage of drinking water has already precipitated a crisis resulting in the development of various water borne ailments. Health officials said the fresh water and sanitation in the region has become a major problem causing infections.

95 percent of the internally displaced do not have proper latrine facilities, according to local NGO workers who were engaged in constructing temporary toilets.

The medical supply for third and forth quarters of this year still not reach Vanni, further compounded an already alarming medical situation there, they further say. The repeated request to clear them from Vavuniya ends in security establishments’ deaf ears.

Emilda Sukumar, the Government Agent (GA) for Mullaitivu district, said in Vavuniya that many IDPs are still fleeing towards the LTTE controlled territory despite repeated appeals by the government to come to the area of their control.

"I do not know why they are not coming to cleared areas. But in Oddusudan, I saw that they are fleeing towards Pudukudiiruppu area," Ms. Sukumar said. Quoting from doctors from the area, the government's main administrative officer in Mullaitivu district added that in Pudukudiiruppu, people are suffering from Malaria, Tuberculosis and malnutrition as a result of not having proper nutrition.

Mullaitivu and Pudukudiyiruppu are currently controlled by the Tamil Tigers.

Moshe Dyan said...

our white van guys are doing a great job. they should be given more faster, larger vans.

the white van thingy is a SL success story.

but there is some worrying news.

the vavuniya-colombo train service is to recommence today. this is stupid. after a suggestion from some patriots (elsewhere), i too was involved in pressurising MoD for a stop of train service from vavuniya and instead end it at medawachchiya.

why?

bcos a terrorist who can get into the train from vavuniya can get down from colombo WITHOUT ANY check on the way. any idiot can argue that they can be checked in vavuniya or b4. yes. but it was proven time and time again that this SCEDULED check is not effective. instead if the passenger had to come all the way to medawachchiya there are MANY checkpoints he/she has to pass through. Also medawachchiya is a area of more sinhala ppl and tigers who are tamil racists are deterred from going there compared to vavuniya. note that due to the train timetable, a potential terrorist has to wait a long time in this "transit area".

chances are that,

1. terrorists are MORE deterred.
2. more chances of capturing
3. more distress for terrorists who are already HIGHLY disstressed.
4. VERY HIGH public awareness compared to vavuniya

(i must admit that i read this somewhere. it is not mine. BUT no bastard seems to do anything over it; at least bring to the attention of others).

this was implemented after a number of bomb blasts where the terrorists came via train.

i request authorities to reconsider the decision in view of security. at least postpone it.

convenience of a few thousand ppl OR lives of 20 million ppl?

mi-24s have started attcking mulaitivu which symbolises the advancing troops. looks like thick jungles of mualitivu are less harder than we thought. SLA already has the wilpattu jungles under them. so mula jungles will not be that difficult.

no doubt tigers will offer resistence but they won't stand a chance this time.

by capturing a stretch of road, SLDFs could manipulate food convopys to where we want them to go (not where tigers want).

food, medicine and free education MUST be used as weapons of war in vanni. there is a BIGGER appeal for these in vanni than tamil elam!!!

TS,

"US training so far was for the SLA.

i recon there is little US can help us with training of SLAF. what SLAF needs most from the US is equipments. US has little expertise on the types of equipment SLAF uses.

may be airborne attacks/landings/rescues/air-sea-land cordination, USING NEW high tech equipment (which we will get) will be the focus.

given the timeliness, focusing on SLN may be a better option.

Puran Appu,

I am not sure about this but I have feeling that ZTTP has a plan C as follows.

There was lot of talk about under ground tunnel system some where inbetween Mulative and Kili.

We don't know how long or where it goes.

When peelam shrinks they may be trying to get SLA into a certain position.

Then use the tunnel system to attack SLA from behind.

I don't know much, this is only a speculation.

It is better, if SLA be careful.

ZTTP is notoriously famous for its stealth.

Yes, it will be a mass scale slaughter I am told. Of course, the LTTE casualty figures that trickle to us – and that too unofficially – are only a fraction of what the true figures are I am told.

Since TamilNadu (translated: Tamil Nation) monkeys started doing the monkey-somersaults in protest over “Tamil civilian deaths in Sri Lanka,” I am told hiding the true LTTE casualty figures has somewhat paid off to cool the monkey-passions! LMSSAO!!!

[Feel sorry for the idiots.]

I don’t!

When I reminisce the scene of that poor farming Sinhela woman whose head was chopped off and placed near her torso, right next to her axe-hacked infant’s body somewhere in the NE SL, no, I don’t fee sorry for “the idiots”…!!!

Yes, they have paid a hefty price…and will continue to pay a hefty price for all those ghastly crimes!

Rana,

May be.

What I have heard is that, there are few Underground bunkers used by the LTTE leadership liked through a tunnel system. I don’t know whether there is another tunnel system and these bunkers and tunnels can accommodate a large number of carders.

When peelam shrinks, SLA will be everywhere. It won’t be possible to get SLA into a certain position like those days.

Unlike those days, this time we are forwarding from so many fronts, and the key is small team operations.

One more point is that, if they use a tunnel system at last to come out and attack, will they be in a position to use artillery and Mortar??? (Especially Artillery) Artillery and Mortar is the biggest killer for the SLA at the moment. Not the direct fire.

SLA is expecting a big blast at last. They know this (we all hope that, they know what they are doing) So far they have proved.
Rana, we never know machan. This is what I have heard and what I feel.

Rana and Asithri,

Welcome back.

Sujeewa Kokawala said...

Moshe and Others,

Capture of A34 between Mula and Oddu. Wow. What a beauty. How happy am I? This leaves them with two marginal options - either to flee from Mula leaving it in zombie or fight for death. The location of Mula makes it easy to circumnavigate. It is a coastal hamlet so only one half has to be covered. I think they will make both options half half. Hardcore will flee along A35 over the canon fodder dead bodies of all able ppl in 163 000 prisoners whom Emilda Sukumaran tries to represent [hang on, isn’t that a crime, pussycats are the sole, soul and shole representative of tamils].

It was a magnificent plan indeed. [If Ananda also conceived/suggested this type of idea, hats off for him too]. Just look at it.
- Batter kili to keep them busy and kill as much as you can.
- Threaten Para to leave them in dileama of whether or not carrying on with the mayhem any more [loss of Paranthan will make many decisions among lower rank]
- Pinching EPS gently and smoothly
- Strangling Mula.
- However I DID NOT mention the most important two moves by SLA here.

THAT idea is a beauty. If they lacked bit of phase balancing, the harsh weather made it tuned like a jolly-good guitar. Soon Fatpig will start forgetting where he has left behind solitary units out of command. There is so much happening.

I think Mula jungle was harsh, but we’re though it. This is why 59th operated in low key whereas Shaveendra and Chula Dias chased pussycats like Jim Pappa [Obelix]. The hard work is paying off now. Kili is like a museum, and it is always better to bring Mula region under control first. Pussycats wanted it otherwise. We should take on enemy in the least expected way.

Nevertheless, I’d like if anyone can shed some light into the jungle region surrounded by A34, Oddu-Puthu rd, A35, Iranamadu tank and A9. Ampakamam [Ambagama or Ampegama?] is inside the region I mentioned. It shows that they have already entered the region in a big way. You should note that division commander of TF3 is the same as the brgade leader of the 57x [was it 571?] which attacked Kokavil. Divisions are made, but no expertise is lost [same goes with TF4]. In the light of TF4 getting deployed along Nedunkerni-Oddu line, liberation of Ampakamam is more interesting.

Now soon there will be the question of where to run for pussycats. Fatpig has to make a decision soon, or else others will make decisions about him. With the denial of central Indian govt, Piggy is closing towards a decision which he never made before. That is surrender. When I evaluate his possibilities, it seems that a fake, shrewd surrender is the best for him [ahead of fleeing from country]. He can afford to lose all his weapons and areas under control if he can get freedom to live, save his cadres and get some sort of plastering and white washing on his stinky, blood stained image. He can save everything else to attack us on our weaker day. This will depend on how he can bring the likes of Mahen, Peter into an understanding to prove that surrender can bring the promised land, hence to keep money being pumped. Nevertheless, I hope SL govt has a plan for this.

Failing to make that decision, while losing each station Oddu/Mula/Para/Kili/EPS/Puthu, the other pussycats will make a decision to say bye bye to him. You can see it happening when 58th inches close Para.

Loss of Para will be the loss of the next queen of this multi-layered game of chess. Fatpig is losing the game whereas diaspora is losing the gamble. What a waste of 25 years. Pity you.

That is why I am so cagey about all this, although I am as thrilled as you guys are, as things develop.

navindran,

at least OUR army commander is eating words, YOUR commander is eating shitt inside a flooded bunker.

seriously, 30 feet deep bunkers would have flooded like nobody's business in the torrential rains. IF (i mean IF) there are sewage systems for bunkers (impossible given the depth), those would be overflowing now!

other rubbish flowing at the ground level would have flooded the bunker. if a APM comes into the bunker with flood water......

there is also the risk of mudslides inside the rat hole.

Sujeewa Kokawala said...

Ananda,

There are diffs in surrender and fake surrender. A surrender is last option, done at mercy and become liable for every crime.

A fake surrender is planned. He does it as a propaganda act, while having all his allies ready to force us if we do not accept it. To make him a clean man he can lay down and hand over all the weapons. If he does so, there will be many international parties pushing SL to accept.

Even if we try him for crimes, unless we execute him, they will make him a hero in prison, like Mandela. Killing him in law is impossible as again there will be many talking on his behalf. So best option is to do what they did to JVP leadership.

Although it is great to be strong and strict in decision making, we should not forget the possible international trends. We should plan our actions to minimize their effect, and should have good contingency planning to counter every dirty plot.

Still, Fatpig is unable to make any such move, thanks to the likes Mahen et al in Diaspora. But loss of few more towns, liberation of IDP and certain amount of desertion will bring him to that point. So we have some time before final plan for him has to be devised with the right strategy.

Ananda-USA said...

Puran Appu, Moshe, etc

I agree that a very long tunnel system is a distinct possibility.

What if, for a few special bunkers and tunnels, they had anticipated flooding, and built the entrances at a raised level that are above typical flood levels, installed concrete liners (to slow down groundwater influx), drains connected to sumps, and sump pumps to evacuate the sumps.

Judging from the effort they have put into building bunkers and earth bunds, and the save havens they have had for more than two decades, I would not be surprised to learn that they have made very long, hitherto undetected tunnels, that run tens of kilometers. These can be used to shelter and protect LTTE cadre and to transfer them undetected from one front to another as the need arises.

Several years ago, police in Southern California discovered miles long tunnels between the San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico! They were built by drug cartels, and had exits located within downtown builness buildings!

These guys have lived and fought in the Vanni for years; surely they know about the flood water levels.

Sujeewa,

I agree with you that a "fake surrender" with TN support is a possibility, especially if it is done as a part of a CFA and "negotiations." This is exactly what I fear, bacause it will whitewash this man and allow him to escape justice.

That is why I think the GOSL should limit its demand for surrender and rehabilitation without prosecution to the rank-and-file LTTE cadre, while Prabhakaran and the top echlon of the LTTE will be prosecuted and punished for their crimes.

However, I really think that Prabhakaran is emotionally incapable of contemplating surrender; he will either escape abroad, perhaps has already escaped, or will take his own life.

Rana said...

Sujeewa K,

I also agree, nice narrative on options and strategies available to fat pig.

However, we should not forget the land covered by A9, A35 and A34 is not an easy terrain to manure. They have some hidden bunkers which are connected by number of meshed tunnels (if my memory is correct) and this fellow and close commanders have 25 years experience on the very terrain we are talking.

They also gifted with with some finest brains (internally/most externally) to advise, not mention foriegn powers like Norwey.

In short we should not under estimate our enemy, after all, this the first opportunity we got for last 25 years.

We must be ready for few more trump cards that fat pig may have in his sleeve.

Most important thing is, our present position is very strong and not to loose that.

I have played many chess games with different types of opponents and have seen many times, I go down to loose badly after doing all hard work to gain invincible position yet with single (slip)wrong move.

Well, my advise is, this is the crucial moment, we have to be extra careful not to give an inch to the enemy.

We should not forget that, we are fighting with a formidable enemy who has won almost all battles earlier.

It is important note broz, that there are

A) Patriots (Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim)

and

B) Kakkas (Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim)

Here are the excerpts again (with the links below each):

"The best solution to the ethnic woos of the country is diversification. Many Tamils have moved to the south in the past three decades. Let the Sinhalese and the Muslims who were driven from the North and the East go and resettle in their old homes. Let the Thesavalam law be abolished, and let the up-country Tamils, and the Sinhalese, or everybody else who so desire, migrate to the North and the East, so that we have a true tapestry of multi-ethnicity in the whole country, just as we have in Colombo today."

I agree with you and looks like the Military knew well about this. Don’t you think that they had this in their minds from the beginning, from the way they started the operations, how they came this far and how things are now?

They trapped and are trapping the LTTE to this Triangle ‘the land covered by A9, A35 and A34’, where the LTTE is trapped now. They like fools got trapped and getting trapped to this triangle because they got nothing else to do.

Military started with 57 & 58 Divisions from the Western part of the A9, and then introduced the 61st Division and Task force 2 to speed up and clear the Western part of the A9. (They wanted to clear this part soon.) .

They started with the 59th Division with 57th and 58th from the Eastern part of the A9. As we know 59th were not that aggressive as the 57th & 58th. They were just keeping the momentum going and were steadily approaching Mulattivu.

Now, the 58th and 57th have almost done there part. 59th Division became aggressive and the deployed TF3 to add more pressure to the LTTE. (They took Mankulam and started moving through the A34.

TF4 too will deploy in the Mulattivu theatre, to strengthen the 59th.

I hope you get my point.

Diaspora will be compelled only to laugh. When ppl loose in gamble that's what they end up until they are transferred to mental asylums, and even after.

Rana/Ananda/Puran, I was only outlining few options of the Pig. Of course Pig has a great pride and big reluctance to surrender. He will take more time to go that humble even fakely. Nevertheless the very few VVVIP shud think of nation and keep them wrapped in max security. And SLAF shud know that SLAF vs TAF is a separate game and they can't keep their heads up while TAF run free. If we make sure these two things, rest is anyway a matter of time.

Pariots,

Please read below British Prime Minster Neville Chamberlain's declaration of war against Nazi Germany on 3rd September 1939, and compare it to President Mahinda Rajapaksa's decision to terminate the Ceasefire Agreement with the LTTE. Repeated failure to appease Hitler finally led him to declare war.

“ I am speaking to you from the cabinet room of 10 Downing St. This morning the British Ambassador in Berlin handed the German Government a final note stating that, unless we heard from them by 11 o'clock that they were prepared at once to withdraw their troops from Poland, a state of war would exist between us. I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received, and that consequently this country is at war with Germany.
You can imagine what a bitter blow it is to me that all my long struggle to win peace has failed. Yet I cannot believe that there is anything more, or anything different, that I could have done, and that would have been more successful. Up to the very last it would have been quite possible to have arranged a peaceful and honourable settlement between Germany and Poland. But Hitler would not have it; he had evidently made up his mind to attack Poland whatever happened. And although he now says he put forward reasonable proposals which were rejected by the Poles, that is not a true statement. The proposals were never shown to the Poles, nor to us. And though they were announced in the German broadcast on Thursday night, Hitler did not wait to hear comments on them but ordered his troops to cross the Polish frontier the next morning.

His action shows convincingly that there is no chance of expecting that this man will ever give up his practice of using force to gain his will. He can only be stopped by force, and we and France are today in fulfillment of our obligations going to the aid of Poland who is so bravely resisting this wicked and unprovoked attack upon her people. We have a clear conscience, we have done all that any country could do to establish peace, but a situation in which no word given by Germany's ruler could be trusted, and no people or country could feel itself safe, had become intolerable. And now that we have resolved to finish it, I know that you will all play your parts with calmness and courage."

Any comments.. I hope this is very much your domain of knowledge

The inner workings of these agencies are still un-regulated. After all S&P drastically needs to divert attention in this region to stay afloat.

Sujeewa Kokawala said...

Peter, not really, I have a diff perspective than a broker in this trade.

Regarding your “race”, peter, you seem to be deeply lost at this point. There are so many runners running at every corner, and surely you don’t have enough run every race. The catch is that not all of them are real runners, so you guys end up running with fake ones mostly. However the flying catch is that fake runner and real runner can be decided on the run !!!

So in brief, there is an individual race for Mulliyaveli-Mulathinvu, Paranthan, Kilinochchi, Kilali, Muhamalai, Oddusudan and many other unnamed places. There is no way to decide which is real and which is fake. Sometimes you can use the number of kms [which you count so ardently] and rate of change to get some idea. I hope that I answered many questions that you pretended to be troubled with for past many days.

Getting back to IB/Shares, I suppose that this is the time when Share Markets look like Las Vegas gamble joints. However, this will be over in few years. The bigger gamble and the greatest loss is to those who invested billions and conducted crimes beyond every sane person’s imagination with the view of creating a country out of plastics. Your loss will never recover either. So Peter, that is the trade in which you will be lost forever.

No one is running against the athletes. The aim is make sure that selected races never finish. EPS and Killinochchi are just two. Whether the athletes are “fake” or “real” is irrelevant when one is determined to spoil the races of his own choosing.

Peter said...

As for investments, a lot of newbies are, in deed, heartbroken; I can tell from the changes in their behaviour. Prudence pays; some have learned it the hard way. Just keep hoping that Mahinda's military “boom” doesn't turn into a “bust”.

Hmmm this is what you guys are daydreaming as "surprise". In fact we also know and have discussed about this. But do you see, the runner takes glucose and pit stops rightly. He has no competition so time is in his side.

And this is the point where the gamble will be lost Peter. Pray for asteroids. That is the only available option from Navindran's daydream list now.

Yes that's the reason LTTE's last 30 years of fighting does not matter any more. LTTE has faints if not half dead.

Top of that the money LTTE has invested in "PONZI" fund no longer can recovered any more....
Wonder how we got know how much LTTE had banked under "PONZI" !!!

Peter, how many toilets are you cleaning these days?

Peter said...

SK,

I said: “No one is running against the athletes.”

Pit-stops, etc., are are a tried and tested method for winning the race against other runners. The difference here is that the opponent does not want to run the race against the athlete, but merely wait near the finishing line and make sure that the selected athlete never finishes his race.

Peter said...

Perein,

States run races; insurgents play spoil sport. In order to be racing against each other both sides should have the same aim: winning the selected race.

Here, the aims of GoSL and LTTE are very different. Success for LTTE is GoSL not being able to finish and subsequently withdrawing from the race.

SLA push thwarted in Ki'laali, 40 killed - LTTE

More than 40 Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers were killed and at least 120 soldiers wounded Tuesday morning when the Liberation Tigers of Tamileelam (LTTE) repulsed an offensive push by the SLA along the Forward Defence Line in Ki'laali, Tiger officials in Vanni told TamilNet. The LTTE has claimed to have seized weapons and recovered dead bodies of the SLA.

The SLA launched its offensive push at 1:30 a.m.

After 9 hours of heavy fighting, the SLA was forced to pull back its troops, with heavy casualties, at 10:30 a.m., the Tigers said.

Further details were not available at the moment.

Sure.. Let's play the game of wiping the terror.

Relation to the funds, wonder how much got wiped out by LTTE during the last 12 months due to the on going banking issues. My guess (Until facts to get revealed) at least 60% lost.

Now lets go to the remaining 40%. As far as I'm aware some major banks had Gov funding worldwide. RBS, HBOS , BOA are few major players...Since LTTE happened to be in band list of those countries, what would happened those investors of LTTE happened to get caught?

Peter, circular race is still one dimensional. Can you view it like an event of Olympics where multiple events competed at once. That is the nearest I can help you with. Sadly you're like Bhutan whereas we're like China there. Not many events are participated at all.

So you can wait at where you think as finish line. We know what is a lap and what is the race. In fact we know when to combine it for the final ceremony. And we jolly well know that until it is won 100% it is 0%. More importantly the big guys know it very well.

Your boasting is heavily based on a turn around which never was there. Of all things your biggest loss is running out of time. In months there is no time frame, but there is a definite time frame in years and decades. When you grow your gray hair and ponder in an elder's home in a distant foreign land, and your next generation fail to recognize the identity of yours, you can still send a dollar a day from your govt allowance, but game is lost for ever.

So waiting at finish line and spoiling the game will not get you anywhere. That is the sheer definition of terrorism. Nothing gained but just destruction. If you ever want you have to run it on your own, w/o destroying other's completion. Sadly you fail to realize this in vengence and anger of a MINUTE crime, of a distant past. I did not justify it at all, but I pity your inability to recover.

For your own good SLDF will finish your worry once and for all. Although it can disappoint you for a while, thank SLDF for making it end-of-game such that you don't have to wash toilets in elder's home to send the dollar a day in another 25 years.

Get a life. Maybe you can start uttering numbers in km. But that alone is getting infinitely complex as there are so many km counts to keep. Almost everything is targeted now. Almost everything is getting out of your hand. Typically that is how gamblers loose.

Will be away for a while. Have fun peter.

Fighting erupts in fringes of Kilinochchi, Northern FDLs: 120 terrorists killed, 250 injured
At least 120 LTTE terrorists were killed and over 250 reported injured during intense battles ensued between troops and LTTE, West of Paranthan, Admapan and Iranamadu at the Kilinochchi battlefront, Tuesday (Dec 16).

According to latest military reports, the Task Force 1 and 57 Division troops have also gained control over a 5 km stretch of the LTTE built earth bund cum ditch, west of Paranthan and Kilinochchi. Troops are now consolidating defences in the area, military Spokesperson Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said speaking to defence.lk.

Heavy fighting broke out at the outskirts of Kilinochchi and Northern FDLs since early this morning (Dec 16) as military offensive divisions commenced mounting artillery and heavy mortar attacks at identified terror locations, shifting the Wanni battle phase into a decisive stage, military sources said.

Meanwhile, LTTE heavy gun locations and terrorist concentration positions were targeted in the attacks, as military said that terrorists manning defences south of A-9 at Kilaly FDL were left in total disarray. According to military reports, 25 soldiers have laid their lives, 10 reported missing and 160 others injured during the days fighting.

Separately, 57 Division troops have entered the Chorikenkulam vilage located 7km Wet of the A-9 main road, military sources further said. Troops have also uncovered 2 LTTE bodies along with 2 radio communication sets, a multi-purpose machine gun (MPMG) and a T-56 assault riffle while consolidating positions South of Iranamadu this evening.

Anyway, the breakthrough in Paranthan is significant. 53rd offensive could have been made to distract the LTTE from the paranthan-Iranamadu area, judging by the way LTTE was forced to rush reinforcements from Kilaly to Paranthan late in the day.
